• The candidate will be in a lead role (Head-Robotics) & will be part of the Founding team working on all stages of product development starting from research, designing, prototyping, manufacturing, till installation and final commissioning of the product into the market.

• “Denovo” is a government-funded start-up company revolutionizing the field of surgery In India with innovative solutions. We are supported by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Govt. of India. We are born out of BETiC, IIT-Bombay. Our current project is on advanced instruments for Minimally Invasive surgeries and Robotics surgery to be used by surgeons.

Responsibilities-

Product design and development of a surgical device in the electro-mechanical domain

• Fully functional product development designing, mechanism development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and trails).

• The candidate will work on "innovative concept development" for medical devices and health care products.

• Concept commercialization through " Design for manufacturing" activity.

• Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products.

• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software 3D CAD package.

• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process

• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.

• The right selection of "Materials/processes" for new product development.

• Vendor development for "Special materials/tooling/ Manufacturing" whenever required.

Qualification:

B.Tech/M.Tech/Dual Degree in Mechatronics/ Mechanical with prior experience in Robotics.

Job Profile:

• Heading the Robotics Division

• The candidate will work on ‘innovative concept development’ for medical devices and healthcare products.

• In-depth knowledge of stepper, BLDC motors, microcontrollers, BMS, PCB, and electronics associated with robotics.

• Experience in Robotics, electronics & and feedback systems.

• Candidate must be proficient in CAD Modeling, product simulation, and analysis tools (e.g. Solidwork simulation, ANSYS, etc.)

• Concept commercialization through ‘Design for manufacturing activity.

• Fully functional product development including concept development, designing, mechanism development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and trials.

• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software 3D CAD package mainly Solidworks. Concept commercialization through " Design for manufacturing" activity.

Selection criteria:

We will be conducting interviews on a rolling basis.

1.Screening round- All the applicants will be called for a 15 min initial interview (mostly via zoom). Based on the screening selected candidates will be sent a questionnaire form to be filled along with a Statement of purpose (SOP). Then the list of preliminary candidates will be made for the next round.

2. Deep dive interview - Selection mails for the Screening Round will be sent to the candidates. You will be requested to share Statement of purpose (SOP) and Portfolio of work. Candidates will be called for the interview after all the prior formalities. Then the list of preliminary candidates will be made for the technical round.
