Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Agronomist / Agronomist Intern to oversee crop production, support farming operations, and ensure high-quality yield through effective agronomic techniques. Should be flexible to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor crop health, growth, and yield performance
- Assist in developing and implementing crop management strategies
- Conduct soil and nutrient analysis and support improvements
- Manage irrigation schedules and ensure efficient water usage
- Identify pests, diseases, and weeds, and suggest control measures
- Work closely with farm operations teams to ensure best practices
- Maintain records of crop cycles, inputs, and outputs
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Support hydroponic and modern farming practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Agronomy / Horticulture or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (Freshers and Interns can apply)
- Basic understanding of crop management and soil science
- Knowledge of pest and disease management
- Interest in hydroponics and modern farming techniques
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in field conditions
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)
- Basic knowledge of fertilizers, nutrients, and irrigation systems
- Data recording and reporting skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary/Stipend: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience)
