Here are the steps for how to write a PMP resume:

1. Read the job listing carefully

Before you begin writing your resume, make sure to read the job listings carefully for each position to which you plan to apply. Reading the job description helps you understand the expectations and preferences of the hiring manager. When you know what qualities the hiring manager wants in their ideal candidate, you can create an application that aligns your skills and experiences with the position's needs.

For example, managers looking to hire a PMP may state that they prefer an experienced candidate who has leadership training and advanced knowledge of financial analysis. Based on this description, you can focus on showing that you have these relevant qualities. You can describe how many years of experience you have as a PMP and include details regarding when you performed financial analyses in your previous positions.

2. Consider your formatting

Good formatting can improve the organisation and professionalism of your resume. When formatting your document, use clear section headings to make it easy for the hiring manager to find the information they need at a glance. Choose a professional font style and use formatting strategies, like adding bold formatting to your headers, to make them easy to find. Additionally, organise your resume sections in the order that best reflects your current level of industry experience. 3. Add your contact information
