Fortuna Enterprise is hiring for an E-Commerce Product Sourcing & Marketing Intern

About the Company

We are a trading and sourcing company working in two areas:

  • B2B: Sourcing raw materials and managing logistics for chemical and allied industries.
  • B2C/D2C: Sourcing finished FMCG products from third-party contract manufacturers in India for overseas buyers.

Our key product segments include cosmeceuticals, nutraceuticals, value-added spices, functional foods and imitation jewellery.

Responsibilities

Intern Role & Responsibilities:

  • B2B – Product Sourcing & Export Logistics
  • Identify raw materials used in FMCG product manufacturing.
  • Research and identify potential suppliers /manufacturers, obtain product information, quotations, brochures, and catalogues.
  • Research and build buyer databases using embassies, chambers of commerce, B2B portals, directories, exhibitions, e-marketplaces, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Understand distribution channels and international sales networks.
  • Learn about freight forwarding, inland transportation, ocean freight, and marine insurance.
  • Understand export/import customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare export quotations and costing, including product, logistics, insurance, and other applicable charges.
  • Understand buyer payment terms and basic trade negotiation.

B2C/D2C – E-commerce Product Research & Sourcing

  • Research trending, best-selling, high-demand, and repeat-purchase products across domestic and international e-commerce marketplaces, including pricing.
  • Research 3PL warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery services and their applicable charges.
  • Understand import duties, regulatory requirements, and compliance applicable to cosmetics, food, and other FMCG products.
  • Learn product costing, landed cost, pricing, and profitability analysis to assess product viability.
  • Understand marketplace fees and commissions, D2C websites, digital marketing, social media, and D2C brand dynamics.
  • Create and optimize product listings across various e-commerce platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with all e-commerce guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in e-commerce and FMCG product management.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with various e-commerce platforms is a plus.

Expected hours: No less than 12.0 per week
