Had a variety of R&D roles in two Divisions. Worked with some bright and talented people on interesting projects. Sometimes bureaucracy slowed things down, depending on department, manager. But overall, the scientists, engineers and managers were very bright and capable. Abbott does offer quite a bit of internal training.
High quality employees.
The coworkers are great but the management and culture are lacking. The workloads are so high that many corners are cut and policies are not followed, many of which violate FDA regulations. Middle managers waste time bickering amongst themselves in large meetings.
good coworkers, great benefits
poor morality, overworked and stressful
Muy buena exelente se trabaja con sereidad respetando los estándares de seguridad las normas irán e iso y programa de ideas GMP y cocietizacion del personal con distintos cursos de mejoras en todos los niveles
Si hay descanso
Pay is above industry standard but the tradeoff is a non-existent work life balance. An established company with great product and overall great people, but still needs a lot of work in the professional development of their employees. Job satisfaction varies greatly depending on the team you're on.
The lack of communication between management, shifts, and the continued threats made to the workers on the floor is a major issue at Abbott. I have heard others being told in public areas. "that is a fireable offense". Constant changes made to work areas and general areas is another issue. I don't if the Upper Management is aware of these things and that in itself, is an problem.
Free Covid testing
Lack of communication from management, Constant threats made by supervisors, It's a constant watch your back situation, None or very little training even when training promised.
Abbott is a reputable and good company to have on your resume. The compensations package is excellent, but that is about it. There is no work life balance you are expected to work weekends as needed, no summer off (busy with forecast season). The culture is the worst I have seen. It's an older company with old-school ways. You are expected to be in office because we have access to Covid test. Abbott does great things and has reputable products on the market, but they over-work their people.
Benefits, pay, on-site gym
no work life-balance, corporate culture
As a Micro lab analyst, I am enjoying working in Abbott Laboratories. Company is having wonderful benefits. Management is very helpful. Flexibility for work schedule in certain situations.
Friendly and family working environment.
Great people to work with here, once in awhile however a bad egg is hired as a manger which can be very detrimental to good employees. Management is at high turnover rate. Otherwise Abbott’s culture is very good. Great products, great benefits. Fair pay.
Benefits, people, culture
Sometimes wrong people put into management
