Not people focused Leadership

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I spent 9 years with Accenture, Bangalore. Leadership and Sr. Management are very very selfish, they want the project to be successful to get their name lime lighted with client and their managers, but the day you are done with the work, they don't know who you are. Until such time, all false promises. If more follow-ups are done about promotions, either they will talk about lot of unrealistic developmental areas or move you another project.Good thing is based on your performance you get good annual increments and bonus, but don't expect any career growth. You stay in the same level and get good salary, but one fine year your salary will hit wall of that higher bracket, next year your increment is 1% or max2%

Pros

Good Team members, Ambiance work culture, good annual increments

Cons

No career growth, useless leadership and sr. management

Work flexibility, Learning Opportunities, World class trainings, Best salary, Travel etc.

Accenture is overall a great place to work, however, it depends largely on which function within Accenture you are and who is your manager. There are many managers who are merely because of their tenure and network within the organization are surviving at senior positions and preventing growth of other potential employees. It used to be a very employee centric company during old days (during the days of late CEO Pierre Nanterme), but now it is no more the best place to work. However, Accenture has lot to offer to shape ones career and you will be challenged by very talented people around.

Pros

People, Training, Facilities, Travel, Salary

Cons

No opportunity for internal job movement - "easy to find a job outside than inside"

Competitive, Market leaders, ahead in technology and processes

My experience with Accenture is great, we know we should not fall in love with company but still it makes you do that. Its my 12th year with Accenture.Very friendly people, great policies, Medical benefits, LOA and WFH in case of family priorities. In the technology landscape, every employee gets chance to upgrade and stay ahead in the market. Recent Cloud drive made almost everyone to learn about various cloud technologies and certifications were sponsored :).Lot of Investments are done on employees learning and at the same time on mental health and myxperience activities where people can show case their hobbies,

Pros

Good work culture, great scope to learn and apply, free to move on various functional areas, onsite opportunities, support to Diversity

Cons

Supervisor has lot of powers so its difficult if you dont get along well.

Company is invaded by group of people who are real Accenture if you do not lick their boot, one will have horrible time in accenture.

Company has become like landlord system where upper middle leadership acts as landlord and rest worker are treated as slaves. Nobody will listen to you and if you would raise concern, be ready to lose your job sooner or later. In nutshell company has become corrupt.

Pros

Pays well if you have link

Cons

Forget your life

Best balance of work-life balance and salary amongst all consulting firms

Best balance of work-life balance and salary among all consulting firms. Not for people who want to stick to their home locations since work location is dependent on where the client location currently is.

It's okay to work with Accenture

It's a company with some good and some not so good traits. I would rather not talk much about it. The flexible working options are good, but the grievance redressal process is rotten and a bluff.

Pros

Flexible working hours

Cons

Formal grievance redressal process doesn't work.

Surely a Great Place to Work, should maintain it before few spoil it completely

No doubt that it's great company but this is dependent the kind of management that you got an opportunity to work with. A flat organization that one can reach to any level and share /execute their ideas. People with flexibility get the kind of roles of they look for and will have fast paced career path and roles are assigned based on the potential not by the seniority, which a very good sign. Resources normally lose focus on technology after 7 to 8 years experience and technology gurus are very less with more than 10 years of experience. It's all pure project / program /account management and technology focus is less. IDC is just a delivery center, purely involved in delivery of a deal which they are not involved at all during the solution phase. Lots of unnecessary cost at onsite puts tremendous pressure on IDC to meet financial goals. Technical skills will deteriorate and resources lack grip on technology from Team Lead (Sr) onwards, not a technology company for people with more than 8 years of experience. Opportunities to grow as a Technology Project / Program Manager are less irrespective of the greater flexibility that anyone is open to demonstrate. Resources at all levels are occupied with what is in store for me in next year appraisal right from the next day of current year appraisal and least focused on things at hand to be delivered. People with 7 to 8 years of Accenture experience are also fired if the background check fails. But I don't have knowledge on other aspects of an organization doing it. Performance appraisal is big messy thing -

Pros

Good learning curve in people, delivery, demand and financial management and exposure to challenging clients, Competitive compensation compared to market and market correction happens almost every year

Cons

Technical skills will deteriorate and resources lack grip on technology.

Accenture is a world class company. Working for accenture means that you are working with some of the smartest and professional people. You get to learn a lot working here. Accenture is also one of the best paying companies and which also gives you an international exposure. 10/10 for Accenture

Pros

You work with very smart people and learn from them, travel across the world and get handsome salary

Cons

A lot depends on the project and project manager, If you are in the wrong project which doesn't suit your interest, it is the worst place to be in
