Accenture was my first company when I began my IT career hence was pretty excited to work there. I joined in 2009, by that time lot of perks were there. For ex, free stationary, No questions asked, free shuttle services, awesome greenfield training. Over the period of time, the charm is lost mostly.Projects are good, onsites are there but need a lot of struggle to prove yourself eligible. In my tenure of 11 yrs and 4 companies, I have seen politics best over here. Referral bonus is good.

Each year, there is a mandate by the HR team to identify a bottom candidate across career levels. This is not an ideal scenario for anyone, neither for the supervisors who are forced to identify a bottom candidate by their Delivery Leads nor for the candidate who will eventually be ranked as bottom and be selected for a managed exit. If you are not good with your boss or higher ups, you can be a potential candidate to be ranked as bottom (this is all the more applicable for resources in Supervisory roles (TLs and above)).There have been instances where roles are created to hire external resources simply to protect the existing lot (at AM and above levels). No matter how pathetic and incapable some of these guys are, they tend to cling on like parasites and are protected by their supervisors.Advice for laterals (AM and above positions) - Make sure you do a thorough check on who the hiring manager is, his/her qualities, the team that you are going to be a part of etc. before joining this company.2. Doctors hired for their domain expertise being promoted as Delivery/Project managers. Needless to say while these candidates might be good in Healthcare, they lack adequate knowledge and are poor when it comes to knowledge on the SDLC, STLC etc. Some are good at Story-telling and this helps them in masking their deficiencies. Poor worklife balance, bad leadership (Complete lack of oversight on projects, they expect you to be available all the time and make you join calls even while you are on vacation)
My experience with Accenture is great, we know we should not fall in love with company but still it makes you do that. Its my 12th year with Accenture.Very friendly people, great policies, Medical benefits, LOA and WFH in case of family priorities.In the technology landscape, every employee gets chance to upgrade and stay ahead in the market. Recent Cloud drive made almost everyone to learn about various cloud technologies and certifications were sponsored :).Lot of Investments are done on employees learning and at the same time on mental health and myxperience activities where people can show case their hobbies,

Supervisor has lot of powers so its difficult if you dont get along well.
Good for experienced candidates.Fresher and contract to hire people may face a lot of challenges. Some managers think they are God. Somebody cut shift allownce because someone felt asleep in night shift. Bad people are every where, but good are many.

Unfortunately, I had to leave the company after a year. However, It was the best experience and I was in google office on Accenture payroll. However, Its the best company If you are in a customer service job.
