for a fresher who is looking for a good company to start your career in the aviation industry as a ground staff, i would recommend AISATS. i learned any things working there. the people are so supportive and encouraging. working environment is very less competitive and everyone works as a team to achieve goals. the management can be heartless sometimes and they definitely won't appreciate you. but from the supervisors and duty managers you will get the compassion and respect you deserve.(at least that's what i got.) if your planning to stay with the company for 1 or 2 years don't expect too much from the salary. but if you are going to stay longer, salary and increment will be generous. overall it was a great experience for the 3 years i worked for AISATS.

Air India Sats is the premier ground handling company in india.here i do work as a flight supervisor in ramp. Here the company is being in operations for last five years and handling Emirates, Ethihad, Qatar, Kuwait,Srilankan and Silk Air.
• Handles Air India Check- in and ensure that tickets and travel documents of passengers are valid. Validate E- Ticket passenger identity and documents. • Lobby management and distribution of hand baggage tags and embarkation cards. • Report blacklisted documents to the seniors immediately. • Check for the cabin baggage and oversized and excess baggage. Weight and determine excess baggage, issue excess baggage tickets, and collect excess baggage charges. • Carry out the carrier’s seat allocation or selection system, issue boarding pass, and detach flight coupons. • Handle denied boarding process and other procedures. • Arrange for the hotel and conveyance in case of DB’s and VDB’s as per the carriers guidelines and SLA. • Meet the aircraft on arrival and provide necessary assistance as per the customer airline requirement. • Guides passengers to clear immigration and customs check. • Ensure that all functions at arrival hall are efficiently dealt with. • Handling deportee, inadmissible, minor and aged passengers. • Taking EGM and IGM. • Ensuring timely security check display and announcement. • Making boarding announcements and manage the boarding process, manage upgrades and downgrades, handling standby list, reconciliation of passenger numbers with aircraft documents prior to departure. • Collecting security items in SHA, maintaining queues for boarding and checking security stamp on tags for fast boarding. • Initiate pre- flight and post- flight work. • Consult Team Leaders in case of difficult situations. • Handling delayed and cancelled operations. • - more...
