Government owned, hence rule based. No much credit for individual initiative & promotions are time bound. Not conducive for career oriented or highly competitive employee. Low pay & mediocre standard prevails. Lot of political interference at higher level .

Tata managemet is good but flights are bery hectic. The schedule is like you go for work almost 5 days a week with multiple sectors . If you are B777 or B787 trained you would fly compatevely lesser but the flying tine aould be more

But, unfortunately there seems to be an unrest among my colleagues due to Management constantly try to downgrade us since we are so much older than the new recruits.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Hectic.Time bound. Worst Management Ever

Once you join, you'll get to know why it was in loss. No work-life balance. No appreciation. No Over time payments, inspite of working long hours literally on 40 of days. You can't resist the soft dictatorship of the management. Worst Management ever. Favorism at it's peak in the organisation. Nepotism is there to make it a kind of family business.
Pros
After acquiring by the Tata, medical insurance is there for employees and their dependents.
Cons
Worst Management Ever, No over time payment, no work life balance, no appreciation. Politics on the floor can potentially manipulate your image, ruin your mental health, No growth opportunities, staff with a lot of insecurities, no job security

I used to work for Air India before privitisation

There was raging, favouritism and most management. Everyday the juniors were ragged and I remember times when I finished three trolleys and the super seniors on board were having tea. After privitisation most of them now has taken voluntary retirement. My contract was not renewed because I took emergency pl which was considered as sick leave and the favorites of the manager who has been pfm positive, inflated slide had several passenger complaints etc were taken back.

What is the best part of working at the company?I joined as a sports person soccer player and earned the best publicity all over India as well as abroad.24 years of long tenure in various airports as a airport manager ,station head it was a fantastic journey being Air Indian .The spurt of meeting such challenges are in my blood and if my unblemished tenure and my application to the cause of the Airline,ever seem to be effective to be recalled upon in your present efforts and bid to give the Airline a new horizon,I will be always available.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?I never felt stress at all while performing in Air India because I loved it to perform in Team.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?I have been performed as a team where ever I have been posted and still belive to perform as team.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Being it was a National carrier specially global political unrest and worng decision of political leaders.
