Too much pressure

Though the salary is good, the work pressure is too much. U either go up or u are fired or u get very bad performance. There is no middle ground. But for those u want to have a quick career growth, its. agood pace to work

Productive and fun place to work

It was pretty decent experience with a nice manager. They are very serious about their leadership principles and you own the work you do. You get learn a lot of stuff by owning your work from end to end.

A tech gaint which gives a startup experience

Good environment to work in. Helps engineers understand and develop scalable and stable applications. If you are smart at work and able to bloat about the impact you have on the team you can easily climb the ladder.

Pros

Good tech exposure, very good mentors

Cons

Management is a bit biased, Promotion and perks are entirely upto manager to decide and it gets a bit political.

Fast Paced Culture

Can Learn a lot in this kind of fast paced environment. Culture is similar to startup culture in which one gets ownership of the product end to end. Best company to work in the start of the career

Productive and fun workplace.

I have been working at Amazon full-time Pros -Higher Team Engagement -Open doors to new ideas -exclusive culture Cons -depends on the associate's thinking process, we should never get into the comfort zone and try to push the limits of our brains. Advice to Management not to keep an associate in the same process for more than 1 year

Challenging

The work life balance might not be the best, but the quality of work is utmost. Employees are taken care of, and the perks are as good as the market standards (if not better)

A great company to work with.

There are really a lot of opportunities to explore and you get chance to work independently. A great work culture, there will be work pressure during the project submission

Good benefits but poor management

Its a dog eat dog world out there. Sometimes the management can be extremely ruthless. The quality of work is good but a lot of people lose steam. Sometimes the reason people stick on is only because of the pay and the RSUs.

Good work but bad work life balance

Get to work on good projects depending on team but work pressure is a lot. Culture gives ownership end to end for projects. Things move fast to production which is good.

Good place to start Career

I have been working at Amazon full-time ( More than a year) WFH policy, ownership is given to a software developer. Mentor/AA/Supervisor are always available to help if need be. Open to suggestions. Project volunteering. Freedom to learn and explore several operational tools.

Pros

Everyone follow the key leadership principles.

Cons

Lot of competition to get promoted to the next level which is nice to have.

Good workplace with exciting work.

Great place to work with great people. Lesser work-life balance compared to competitors. The work was great with impact and work times were flexible as well.

No work-life balance, untrustworthy management

Management is hideous and secretive. One of their leadership principles says "Earn Trust" but it doesn't apply to managers apparently. They sell you cheapness in the name of "Frugality". Employees don't even get free food. Only water/tea/coffee is free. The only good part about amazon are the engineers who are extremely helpful and friendly.

Pros

Take as many work from homes as you want.

Cons

Management is not trustworthy

Good, but lots of work

Work for 10-12 hours a day, and be prepared to work during weekends too. The systematicity of the place is a little too much, as they have their own systems for every single task. Other than that the learning curve is steep, but if you're able to cope up, then it'd be good for you.

Pros

Good learning curve, good salary

Cons

Very long hours, you're never able to do enough work to satisfy the management, no promotion before at least 2 years

Bad internship experience

A very stressful place to work as intern especially when your projects kept getting scraped every 2 months. The senior team members were not helpful either

Engineers are talented but management is not that good

Engineers are talented and some of the problems are quite interesting to solve which have major business impact but most of the time you are maintaining systems instead of building one and too much office politics in management side
