Decent place to work

Its a very toxic and political work environment in amex, you will be depressed

While the company does pay well, the growth isnt at all based on the intelligence or hard work. Its solely based on the politics. Personal relationships with managers work out. Also management disrespects and yell at agents.

Fun workplace but corporate politics is too high

Unfortunately my managers were unsupportive. They wouldn’t praise you for all the good things you have done but will immediately take you down for a small mistake which can also include termination. Lot of benefits are provided but the kind of mental torture I went through makes it just not worth it. I had to resign because it started deteriorating my mental health.

good place but customer-facing profile in indian market is stressful

Amex as an organization is a great place to work. It has a sturdy base, a good brand with employee-centric policies in place. But I am in travel team and the workload is much more then desired. It is stressful and there is a lot of pressure with plenty of performance benchmarks. The process is not streamlined.
