Well paying but political
Programmer Analyst-II (Current Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - October 29, 2019
It is a small company so everyone knows everyone . Nothing is really confidential . You will have to take calls from home as well .But I would not say it is very stressful. Culture is relaxed and not really process oriented. Management is changing from previous mishaps. The hardest part of the job is probably the politics.

Good for 1 or 2 years
Senior Analyst (Former Employee) - India - April 29, 2019
I worked in this company for 5 years and did not get any promotion even when I deserved it. I got awards and recognition for individual as well as team performance, but that did not reflect in my numbers. Whenever it was time for a promotion, the management would give the most harsh response, that, my salary is already higher than others.
This company is good if you want to join as a fresher and leave within maximum 2 years. After 2 years, growth becomes stagnant. Many employees joined as freshers / interns and utilized working hours doing preparation for post graduate programs like MBA, MS, etc.
There is no sense of career advancement. You start feeling that you are a frog in a pond and that there is no world beyond the pond. This is when you start getting into the dangerous COMFORT ZONE.
Promotions and appraisal process is totally flawed and partial towards favoritism. I also found a little regional bias.
Workplace culture is based on the fact that if you keep your manager happy, it does not matter whether you do actual work or not.
The hardest part of the job is to convince management to bring about changes in the working culture.
If you are someone working in an IT company down south (Bangalore, etc) and you want to come back and settle in Gujarat and if you are willing to sacrifice your salary expectations and if all you need is to look for a company which you can retire with, then this is the place for you.
In spite of all this, if you still end up there, then please don't blame me if I say "I told you so!"
Pros
starting salary
Cons
no career growth

Productive and fun at work
Member of Technical Staff, Field Applications (Former Employee) - Bangalore, India - July 25, 2018
My job is to help and support customers using Maxim products and it is always fun interacting with various customers and their technical base.
I learned different product portfolio of Maxim during my tenure. More than 5000 technologies.
Management was awesome and provided all of us an equal chance.
Workplace culture was good and I used to interact with my sub-ordinates in a friendly manner.
The hardest part of the job is at times when the customer and myself doesn't know why Maxim solution is not working at their place though it worked in our evaluation kits.
The most enjoyable part of the job was when customer appreciates us after making the Maxim solution work in their place.
Pros
Free phone, mileage and internet connection
Cons
Time zone conflict to interact with our business units

Productive and professional environment
Intern (Former Employee) - Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India - June 7, 2015
The place was very lively with a lot of enthusiastic people who were professional in all terms. It was not like a typical corporate job where people work from 9pm-6pm, everybody was free to do whatever they want. They could take a break whenever they wanted, if they were tired they could leave early too. But one thing was very clear, nobody lagged behind in terms of work. If the situation required to stay till late and complete the work nobody hesitated and made sure that the project was completed in time and a professional manner. I learn a lot from them how to manage my time and work simultaneously without causing any hassles in my personal life.
Pros
no fix timings, unlimited coffee and food, Xbox 360.
Cons
office politics, less salary

Mixed Experince
Engineer (Current Employee) - gandhinagar Gujarat - March 19, 2015
Initially it started as good experience but as months are passing it looks like growth opportunity is diminishing.
Typical Day at work : Come at time you want do some work roam around go home.
management : one word - what management?
co-workers : this is the best part. Best co workers any one can get.
hardest part : what to do.
