Unnecessary stress without management support
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Pune, Maharashtra - January 13, 2020
Any organization is as good as its people and its vision. I feel the people at ANSYS were good and their vision was clear. But in the last several years, the focus has shifted to just financials (read topline and bottom-line). Several good people left and there is no direction to get the best people, leaving the work culture to deteriorate. The work-life balance is gone. The fun activities have reduced drastically, the stress levels have increased and everyone is just focused on himself. There are still a lot of opportunities to learn and grow personally if someone has the right ingredients, but growth opportunities are not systematic. The hardest part is there is no freedom to voice opinions freely that is listened to.

Productive, Competitive and fun place to work at with Table Tennis.
Software Developer - 1 (Current Employee) - Noida, Uttar Pradesh - November 26, 2019
Ansys has a competitive environment. Work life balance sometimes slacks in the fast paced environment but it varies team to team. Compensation is fairly competitive.

Great work place
Manager - Business Operations Group (Former Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - November 8, 2019
I was there when Raja Infotech sold itself to Ansys Software in Pittsburgh. Been through mergers and aquisitions throughout The core team rolled out Ansys Software Private Limited in Bangalore and since then it was all on a platter to run the company. Great Company to work with!!

Good company with a bad manager
Testing Engineer FEA (Former Employee) - Pune, Maharashtra - September 17, 2019
Pros
Nice lush green campus at Pune office with good facilities and benefits.
Cons
Worked in a team which had manager who used to make employees work for 12-14 hrs a day with no proper training or appreciation.
Relieved to have been able to move out from that toxic work culture and do something which has better career.prospects for me.

Domain specific company; difficult to switch with experience
Engineer - Software Development (Former Employee) - Pune, Maharashtra - February 27, 2019
This company has good management and but it's hard to switch with experience due to their domain specific product. If anyhow development of product is terminated due to several reasons like no budget allocated for a team, switching to other team isn't an option due non-availability. In such cases either you resign or they can terminate employment. Due to domain specific skills, finding new company would be a challenge as only few companies are in similar domain (Siemens, PTC, Autodesk).

Very bureacratic
Product Engineer (Former Employee) - Bangalore, KA - January 12, 2015
Everything is restricted by policies here. Very hard to be creative or innovative. And company does not encourage employee bonding or team fun at all. It gets the rating because of the technical work they do which is commendable.
