Work from home, get clinical experience

This is a great opportunity to get clinical experience while working from home. Work closely with a physician and learn about their practice and preferences. Some doctors will answer your questions about the visits you are scribing for, it’s a great way to learn more about medical practice.

Many constant learning tools - Great communication with management.

Starting at aquity solutions was a great experience. They have the necessary tools to get you started on scribe position. Schedules are well organized. Learning curve was relative easy. Communication with coaches through the learning phase and the active phase is fluent and effective. Process to being placed with a permanent provider was great, and still the team is there to answer any concerns.

Pros

Very well organized learning and placement phase. Constant communication.

Cons

Pay.

Overall great place to work

The training for this company is very rigorous but very important. Working as a live virtual scribe means you have to be very attentive and critical about your work. I really enjoy the ability to have a reliable schedule with time off to schedule normal life events. I also love the option of picking up shifts to work extra hours. I love working for Aquity

Pros

work from home, hours

Cons

pay

Productive and fun workplace

Everyone is extremely helpful and training is thorough so I feel comfortable starting out with my provider. Coverage shifts available makes it easy to pick up extra hours if needed and learn a lot through scribing for different providers

Its Eh

It's not that hard to get used to if you have prior training but I think the work load is a lot for slightly over/minimum wage. It is legal medical documentation and even slight errors could lead to something serious. So if it's for the experience, do it. If not then I would probably explore other options first.

Eh

Honestly nobody in this company really cares about you, and you’re pretty much not valuable. You get paid practically nothing for the workload. You get minimum wage for training. They have strict rules. They make you do repetitive compliance training almost every month that you have to pass or you get disciplined. Fortunately I got paired with an amazing doctor which is the only reason I still work here. I don’t consider the work to be hard I think it’s fairly easy once you get comfortable, it’s just a heavy amount of work for no money. If you need the experience take it. If you really need an immediate job then take it. But if you can avoid letting this job exploit you then that would be my recommendation. Like other corporations, the higher ups make all the money while the people actually working and making this place be successful make nothing.

Challenging but greatly rewarding environment.

The job is demanding in terms of dedication and discipline. The training was quite extreme, nevertheless, it was greatly awarding. Continuation of practicing and updating yourself on the medical field and your specialty is a recommendation. Subjectively, this job is the best source of employment for those interested in the medical field or who can not find themselves working anywhere else. In the beginning, it takes some time to balance out life and work as a premed/medical student, however, the company is understanding when it comes to this matter. The only thing is, you have to bring it up, closed mouths will not get fed here. To sum up the terms of cons here, I can say that a scribe can burn out quickly here. Your passion is what will keep you moving. Despite the challenges I have encountered here, the Aquity has been extremely flexible with working with my work schedule and academic schedule. My team has wonderful coaches, leads, and managers. This is one of many experiences here at Aquity. A wonderful piece of art, an even more beautiful masterpiece.

Pros

Experience

Cons

Burnout for Students

medical scribe

Aquity solutions is NOT supportive at all!! I do not recommend to work here. You are very underpaid. I feel like a lot of “supervisors “who work here are bullies and don’t really care about helping you. They talk to you like you are slow! They “teach” you so much in training but when you actually scribe for a provider they don’t want you to use what you learned in training. I loved this job at first but it became draining. Aquity is so uncoordinated and could do better. I never had issues with other healthcare organizations I worked for. Save yourself the time and actually do research on Aquity before applying!

Great remote Job!

I love this job a lot! I am able to work from home. I have a medical background and am able to use my skills to help the doctors be more efficient. Both of my doctors are very kind and very understanding that I am still learning. The training program is very intense, but prepared me well for the job. Management is always available and responsive when I have a problem. I am hoping to stay and potentially advance in this job because it is very enjoyable.

Great job!

Previous to this, I never liked the work I did. I LOVE AND ENJOY this job completely. Everyone is super helpful and I love the provider I work with! There is an amazing staff of helpful people. There is extensive training and you are not just thrown into the position like most jobs.. they take the time to invest in their staff. I would say the only cons are not having a lot of coverage for days off. Another con is you are a bit under paid. But there is room to advance and if you work hard I believe anyone can get there! If you cannot find coverage and your doctor needs you, you are required to work. I have a great relationship and my provider so if I need off and don't have coverage she allows me to pre-chart for her and she will fill the blanks so I can have the day off! Most providers are great to work for. I love waking up and running to my office for work while still wearing my PJ's. I would recommend this job to ANYONE who is willing to invest in a life long career.

Pros

Great work environment, room for growth, relationship with your provider and co-staff and training is extensive and not rushed

Rich clinical experience and healthy work environment

Fantastic and rich clinical experience working with various providers in different specialties. The superiors are amazing and very accommodating, providing guidance and support when needed.

Okay for a beginner

Great place to learn about medical scribing. Over promise/under deliver. Training is antiquated, pay is abysmal, work hours are not guaranteed but based on physician schedule. Expectations are high and pay is low. Perfect for someone with minimal training in healthcare wanting to advance their career knowledge.

Great Place to Work

Great place to work and a really good work environment. They have terrible benefits that are super expensive and not worth the amount of money that you pay for them

Remote job

Some management is nice, it's difficult when they throw you into a new EMR system and do not train you, you do learn a lot when working with physicians, I enjoy that I can work from home.

Pros

Work from home, easy work

Cons

They do not give good pay raises what so ever, some management teams have no idea what they are doing

A place of chaos.

I was employed at this company for several years and it went completely downhill. They do not treat their employees well and the pay is absolutely degrading for the work you do. The supervisors are children with no experience or leadership skills.

Horrible Management

I worked for Aquity for 2 weeks. I was expected to complete certain tests within a certain time and I gave the supervisor notice I wouldn’t have the tests all completed in their time could I have a little more time, it was a bit hard even with experience. They ended up terming me for the reasons they saw fit. Just because an employer terms you, it’s not always accurate their reasoning and it’s ashame because there isn’t anything you can do. They don’t give a hoot what I said. It’s a shame but true. I hope no one else is a victim in this type of way, it’s an unfair situation.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

They don’t care

You will gain some experience; it’s good for a college student but if you have bills to pay it’s not the best idea
