There's no support from either seniors, coordinator or peer teachers. Stressful environment due to lack of planning and absolutely no guidance or support from senior staff and management.The only saving grace is salary.

Dont waste your time

Waste of time for all the candidates. Director rejects the candidates after all the successful rounds, as they want a person to work at very low salary.They will not ask you about your strengths, but will keep picking your weak points during face to face interview.The institute looks like a commercial hotel and from no angle, it resembles a school.People with quality should not apply here.Only people who desperately needs a job or who can work under a stressed up environment should apply.

If teaching is your vocation, and learning is your goal, this happens to be the right kind of place for you! I had been associated with this place for two years and have had a great time learning, growing and evolving mentally and emotionally. There are enough opportunities to show your creativity, knowledge and leadership skills and good support and guidance from colleagues and mentors. The school's core team is always working towards excellence, enabling holistic development of the learners.It not just focuses on academics, but also the spiritual and emotional growth for both students and teachers. 'Quality' and not quantity is what is expected in all walks and so yes, it does get strenuous at times with a lot of multi-tasking, but as they say, you can't get a rainbow without a little rain! Happy Learning!

Fun and accomodating work place

Avalon my Second home!

I was associated with Avalon for 4 years. Everyday entering the school gate gave me positive vibes.Overall I had a good time working with this institution. I appreciate the amount of training efforts are put in for training the teachers. Avalon has made me a better teacher, I have learnt to be patient enough to deal with things. All colleagues were helpful and Co operative.

You aren't seen as a teacher who deserves and needs to be respected, oriented, supported and guided to give off your best but as a cog in a big machine.No clarity regarding your responsibilities and reporting head.

No salary slabs, they pay at their own discretion.No defined working hours, management tries to exploit their employees to every extent. Their is no defined policy and protocol. It's like a ring with a ring master who likes to watch a new show everyday in the dying circus.High attrition rate and no job security.No vision clarity and management lacks ethics but expect it from others.If a person is efficient to finish the work in time they try to engage in unnecessary and objective less tasks just to keep the employees overburdened. (It's like a beauty parlour, if no customer is there just massage the owner).

If you are a chameleon and lack self esteem then it is the best place to flourish.

Cons

Intelligent people don't stay, school teaches you how not to teach but entertain and kill time.

A positive work culture.

Although the school culture is amazing with love as its foundation, the pay scale was not sufficient enough with extra working hours. The sudden meetings held after the school timings just when the teachers are about to leave got on nerves at times.

Worked here for a while

Frankly, they will pay you well but a hike is rare. Maybe after 5 years of working here. The Director plays a very active role in the organization and she expects a lot of brown-nosing although nobody will outright say it, of course. Keep brown-nosing and praising her religious beliefs and you'll gain a place in her good books. People keep leaving this job and you'll often wonder why, until you're actually a part of the company. Then, it's chaos. Good luck!

Avalon is a place which judges candidates based on their knowledge and attitude. Here one has to have the attitude to work to perfection.People are helpful and help is always there, only one has to ask for it. There is growth and one learns a lot. Only drawback, very hectic work schedule.

Good school however lot of favouritism

The school has good plans for development and growth however there's lot of favouritism to the extent that the management especially the director turns a blind eye to certain sensitive and intricate aspects. A few teachers especially heads are given undue importance.

Ok place to work

Despite the pressure, if your goal oriented or a workaholic then this place is for you. You can't take days off and expect not to be reprimanded by the management. The parent's and their happiness comes first at this school. Children are 2nd by the adults.
