As a financial institution Bank Of Baroda has been enjoying very very good reputation in the banking field. There is a strong and sustainable system for evaluating performance of every employee at the year end.Very good perks and rewards are available for the best performers in the bank. Bank has been inculcating an inclusive growth culture in the Human Resource.
Worked in almost all departments of bank with a great enthusiasm. It was a matter of proud for me to work in India`s International Bank over 10000 br
I) Started my career as a cashier. Retired as a Chief Manager. Excellent promotion chances in bank 2) Got the opportunity to work in all important departments of bank viz : Deposit, Remittances, Lockers, Lending, Audit, as a trainer. 3) Good work culture 4) Most enjoyable part of job was to work in loans & training system 5) Hardest Part of the job : Had to put extra labour while working in Loans & Audit department. But I enjoyed. No loan processed / sanctioned by me turned into bad loan during my career in bank.Devoted extra time in loan & audit department. But these are the subject of my taste. Summarizing : I enjoyed my work in Bank of Baroda.

It's not a very good bank to work for, the way they operate would just blow your mind. The payscale is very very low, and considering the amount of work, it's just not worth it. They have highly unorganized HR. The work culture is just the worst i have ever seen in any company. You are better off working a 9 hour job in any Private sector organisation, than working here!
It's a secure job, the one and only advantage being a government service
no work-life balance, low income, bad work culture, worst HR management
A typical day starts at 9:30 am for the officers and usually ends at 20:00 pm. Though this time may vary depending on how busy the branch is and the efficiency of the Branch Heads. Some branches close at 18:00. The senior management is constantly pressurizing us to achieve the targets. In spite f this some of my closest friendships were formed in the bank. These relationships make time in the bank enjoyable and bearable.
Youthful culture, reasonable pay
Work-life balance, great disparity in the responsibilities of clerks and officers with no co-relation to pay
productive ,resourceful workplace with life time job security and promotion opportunities Multicultural work environment Travel opportunities all over the country & overseas Festivities & Promotion opportunities are the fun part Workplace culture is very respectful and gender unbiased Working hours are long but public holidays make up for the same vacation leaves offered
Free training sessions, travel opportunities, conveyance perks
Good company to work for except the compensation which is low as compared to industry standards. Branch culture is somewhat sarkari but administrative office culture is completely Corporate.
Late sitting culture
A Typical day at work involved lot of opportunities as well as challenges. I learnt that Customer delight is the need of the hour for any business to grow. The culture at times wasn't modern enough as it was an 107 year old organization although it is moving towards the same. The management was always supportive. The hardest part of the job was that PSU was often compared with modern private banks and the most enjoyable part is the customer delight which was felt tangibly.
Company has a fair policy for promotions and career progression. LMS provided for continuous knowledge updation. Regular training sessions conducted to ensure updation of knowledge of all employees. So far as a day at Bank of Baroda goes, well, it's banking at the end of the day. How much more interesting or boring can you make it? Customer service is of prime importance. Timely delivery of services to customers, prompt resolution of grievances and queries is something that happens in a very efficient and streamlined fashion. Management is great and is employee friendly. Employee engagement surveys are taken to get a feel of what an employee has to say regardless of his cadre. However, the job is becoming target oriented as is the case with most organizations in banking and finance sector. So nothing to fear. Work culture is ideal for employees irrespective of level of experience, whethert it is a beginner that you are talking about or an experienced person entering as a lateral hire.
