My experience in Dena Bank and BOB both was very good. Handled multiple roles in carrier of 37 years in banking. Handled branch head position for more than 20 years during this time. Also have experience of management the branches as have worked at GM office and managed the assigned branches.

Nothing to say worst place to work i will not recommend any one to go for that perticular company do go it get selected go for the private but don't go for it
Working at Bank of Baroda has definitely been rewarding. People I met were friendly and helpful. Benefits and perks were awesome. Working at BoB equipped me with management and excellent customer service skills. Customer service was always the top priority at BoB. Most difficult was the job posting as frequent transfers and postings away from home was the integral nature of my job. Establishing good client relationships and getting nice customer reviews was the most rewarding thing. Overall, it was an awesome opportunity with a great learning experience.
It's not a very good bank to work for, the way they operate would just blow your mind. The payscale is very very low, and considering the amount of work, it's just not worth it. They have highly unorganized HR. The work culture is just the worst i have ever seen in any company. You are better off working a 9 hour job in any Private sector organisation, than working here!
It's a secure job, the one and only advantage being a government service
no work-life balance, low income, bad work culture, worst HR management

Jobs at Bank of Baroda
A typical day starts at 9:30 am for the officers and usually ends at 20:00 pm. Though this time may vary depending on how busy the branch is and the efficiency of the Branch Heads. Some branches close at 18:00. The senior management is constantly pressurizing us to achieve the targets. In spite f this some of my closest friendships were formed in the bank. These relationships make time in the bank enjoyable and bearable.
Youthful culture, reasonable pay
Work-life balance, great disparity in the responsibilities of clerks and officers with no co-relation to pay
• Having a large exposure particularly in the various core banking areas like Branch Banking, Digital Banking Products, HR Management , Banking Operations and Customer service Administrative & Corporate office etc. • Experience as Branch banking of Small, large and very large Branches including overseas branch head of Port of Spain Branch in Trinidad and Tobago & Inspection & Audit of BOB’s FIJI Operations.
Good company to work for except the compensation which is low as compared to industry standards. Branch culture is somewhat sarkari but administrative office culture is completely Corporate.
Late sitting culture
A Typical day at work involved lot of opportunities as well as challenges. I learnt that Customer delight is the need of the hour for any business to grow. The culture at times wasn't modern enough as it was an 107 year old organization although it is moving towards the same. The management was always supportive. The hardest part of the job was that PSU was often compared with modern private banks and the most enjoyable part is the customer delight which was felt tangibly.
A typical day at work began and ended with customer queries & their resolution. Conflict management and resolution was an integral part of my job. I learnt the art of handling multitude of customers, handling cash, operational aspects linked to cash. I also learnt time management by shifting my duties between operations, customer service, digital enabler to credit appraisals. The most enjoyable part of the job was too see a client leave the branch premises with content.
Company has a fair policy for promotions and career progression. LMS provided for continuous knowledge updation. Regular training sessions conducted to ensure updation of knowledge of all employees. So far as a day at Bank of Baroda goes, well, it's banking at the end of the day. How much more interesting or boring can you make it? Customer service is of prime importance. Timely delivery of services to customers, prompt resolution of grievances and queries is something that happens in a very efficient and streamlined fashion. Management is great and is employee friendly. Employee engagement surveys are taken to get a feel of what an employee has to say regardless of his cadre. However, the job is becoming target oriented as is the case with most organizations in banking and finance sector. So nothing to fear. Work culture is ideal for employees irrespective of level of experience, whethert it is a beginner that you are talking about or an experienced person entering as a lateral hire.
The organisation offers liberty to adopt any working style to fulfill organisational goals. It offers great learning opportunities to improve your knowledge, skills and personality. The management creates conducive environment for growth. All employees have 'we' feeling and it appears that all are part of one 'Baroda' family. The hardest part of the job to fulfill the aspirations of 50000+ employees. The most enjoyable part is all out cooperation of all colleagues in all my endeavours.
