Beckman Coulter, Bangalore - It was a good place to work. Though it was a small site, it had a mix of all age groups. Management was extremely cooperative and gave the associates the much required work life balance.
Management is overbearing and incompetent. Focus is on just getting the job done with no focus on quality or improvement. Only lip service is paid to continuous improvement. There is not much learning due to focus on just getting the job done instead of doing work in the best possible way. Workplace culture is bad due to politics and lack of transparency. The hardest part of the job is knowledge transfer. Nobody seems willing to do it due to negative culture. The most enjoyable part of the job is when management is not breathing down your neck, you can improve, innovate and learn new things. A typical day at work is boring.
Amazing managment, very supportive staff and collegues.
broader arena of exposure.
I learned time management very well at beckman.
A great place to learn and discover new ways of working in an effective way.
Learnt a lot from my colleagues. Work ethics are career enhancing. Lots of scope for growth. But have to be a workaholic and have to carry your work where ever you go. Management is fulfilling and customers are demanding as Beckman Coulter deals with the top customers of the country.

Good place to work , professional atmosphere
Process oriented , system driven with daily management, visual management, kaizen, problem solving , team calls , etc
Management should look to develop their people via professional training's and education.
Pros
Work-life balance is good
Cons
Management is not intersted in developing their employees.
a typical day at work starts with a customer call or visiting our centers of excellence for research in flow cytomeetry . learnt a lot in terms of job requirement for field jobs.management is supportive but career advancement is rather slow because of slow execution of the decisionsco-workers are a mixed lot ;as will be the case with a lot of corporate these days. the hardest part of the job is to convince the customer of something i know will never happen from our side. travelling across India and globe and interacting with people of diverse nature.it makes you grow as a good individual personally and professionally . thank you
Pros
freedom to work independently
Cons
training structure is weak
