Nice company to work. Good compensation. But no job security. As the competitors are selling same kind of equipment with low cost and improved technology, Caterpillar continuously getting decline in sales and revenue. so Caterpillar have to compromise with competitors in product cost to sell the machine. Obviously that will affect employers of CAT by replacing CAT FTE to Agency for low cost employment to get the job done. Mining not doing well. As Caterpillar major focus on mining for past 90 years, so mining product facility will affect much which will affects mining facility employees as well. Caterpillar may recover after some time from sales decline. Caterpillar focused 70% in mining equipment's.
No job security.
Its very good experience in developing my knowledge in machining arae and became deep expertise in the machining area. Also got a chance to learn about assembly processes and engine testing. Caterpillar gives 1st prioirty to safety of the people which is very much impressed to work in this company
