The work culture is good here. There are a number of activities organised to maintain the zeal and motivation of the employees as well as students. The management here is cooperative and disciplined. It takes care of the students as well in every aspect.

University with a zeal to excel in Research and Teaching
Associate Professor (Current Employee) - Department of Biotechnology Engineering - May 29, 2020
I am an Associate Professor working with Chandigarh University for over 4 years now. In my opinion the University has a lot of advantages as tabulated below for your kind perusal:
1. A typical day at University starts at 9:30am (first class) and ends at 4:30 pm. The last class ends at 4:10 pm.
2. Through my 4 years of association with this University, I have learned that as a faculty you have to be thorough in your subject and research. Working at CU you learn how to be competitive and know how to achieve success through smart working.
3. The management is very supportive and is open to your feedback and suggestions and the entire system is online which is an added advantage of CU.
4. The workplace has professionalism and the people are cooperative and about 80% of the task is accomplished through emails and online system developed for the purpose.
5. The hardest part of the job is to accomplish data maintenance online and meeting with the deadlines for a specific task assigned from the management.
6. The satisfaction in doing research and teaching the young minds in my class.

Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Chandigarh University: A chance to flourish dreams
Associate Professor (Current Employee) - Mohali, Punjab - April 16, 2020
Bieng new to the CU and its hectic schedule looks messy intially but as soon as you get into it and start accomplishing task with time you get emphasised in work and performance day by day. Develop skills to get the work done as per the desired consistancy and accuracy. Although sometimes felt bossy but something has to be paid off now a days to get something.
Pros
Constructive work pressure, innovative freedom in research
Cons
Minimum pressure is must to dwell up the things in continous manner.

Nice place to show management skills
Associate Professor (Petroleum Engineering) (Current Employee) - Mohali, PB - September 9, 2015
Good work place with supportive management. However, shortage of time for research due to heavy clerical / unimportant jobs, which are inappropriate / unsuitable to a teacher/researcher.
Pros
Superb management and faculty members; Excellent infrastructure & cleanliness
Cons
Lot of clerical type jobs (inappropriate for a teacher/researcher); Less working hours
