Work culture

Micromanagement and bad leadership. Continuously changing team goals and tasks, lack of good tools and always expected to work overtime. Too much criticism and pressure on employees.

Toxic workplace for contractors

Do not join Cisco as a Contractor as they treat you like untouchables. Long working hours, poor pay, subservient attitude is what you can expect. CJBU unit is the worst. If you have to join that team, stay clear!

Productive ,Competitive work place with Bad compensation

Bad compensation for the Cisco acquired companies. We (NDS) acquired by Cisco and the Compensation was never in par with the main Cisco. Frequent Lay off's at Acquired companies on the basis of cost cutting

Cisco has a productive and fun workspace

I have been in Cisco for past 5+ years. And, am quite satisfied. The company is stepping up to embrace new technologies. Its Bangalore campus is a very good place to work at.

Awesome place to work

A very good place to work, full work-life balance, lots of parks, good people, beautiful campus, many food options. The only con I found was slow appraisals rate that's the only reason someone would leave this company

Incredible place to learn about every subject in Networking

Pros - Lot to learn, extremely talented people in Cisco. Networking is in the air in work environment. Cons - Salary growth can subdue depending on the business unit.

Fun place to work

Good place for learning & lots of training are provided to the employees to up skill. Lots of activities & events are planned on monthly basis encouraging members to take part & contribute to their interest.

Productive and learning wise fun place but not worklife balance and no job security

Every 3 months some re shuffle and re org ,news about downsizing etc ,project cancellations , gr8 place to work if we are not worried about job security and growth.

Futuristic view of orginasation

CISCO work in VoIP product, Routing, Wireless Device and security device and software. CISCO works in cutting edge technology. Here, I got exposure to lot os new technology.

Fun place

Good place to work, they usually kill the product/companies they acquire. Not a good place to work if you are willing to work for long term. Internal rotation is very rare.

Productive, Challenging and fun place to work

It has been 2.4 years in Cisco Systems. Presently I am working as platform engineer in an acclaimed flagship network switch of Cisco Systems in Power subsystem. During my tenure in Bosch I worked on on A/C service machine project and Device Firmware Upgrade projects. Both the DFU project and A/C service machine project provided me opportunity to gain experience regarding the whole software life cycle development in true sense. On a short term basis I have also done HMI programming for A/C service project. I also possess a deep understanding of the object oriented thought process and have appreciation regarding the idea of visualizing a system in terms of objects and their interaction. I have an idea regarding how to travel from specifics of objects towards the generics of a class isolating an interface from an implementation. The DFU driver project is a testimony for this. The projects involved ‘C’ gave me an insight into Top-Down approach and the ‘C++’ related projects gave me insight into Bottom-Up approach. Though the project does deal particularly with Bluetooth protocol, I was very passionate that I read about Bluetooth protocol inner details and about some Bluetooth profiles. I am also an accomplished Toastmaster and won prizes at Area level contests. I have been president of Cisco Samvad Toastmaster club for the year 2013. I have complete two certification programmes from IISc. One is in Protocol engineering and the other is in Wireless LAN technology. I also have Post graduate diploma in Telecommunications from Hyderabad central University. I very strongly believe -
