Giant company in transition at a core level. Doing their best to change but bound to upset some while pleasing others. Adding benefits for retention for longer tenure. Promotion/job transfers into new areas are challenging. Need executive support for any traction.

Access to Silicon Valley pioneers - experts say in their roles.
Cons
Lower salary, top executives get the biggest bonuses/perks. Many managers do not compensate for exceptional work.

It all depends for which team or manager you are working for. Some teams will be micro managed while others won't be. Overall it provided a good work life balance.

Flexible working hours and work from at home- You decide how and where you work; what counts for Cisco are the results- Great investment in people (benefits, company car, ongoing trainings)- Ability to change jobs/roles within the company- Strong Global Player inI have two kids at home and can still pursue my job as a marketing manager. With the full flexibility and freedom of choice on when and from where (home/office) you want to work this is a very valuable benefit.

A good and secure place to be at

Its a great place to start your career, on onboarding process was very accommodating, peers are always ready to help. Sometimes things do get out of hand and PRDs are changed on the fly but that's a rarity. Products are good and leaders are open to suggestions.

People are good natured

Working in the HR side can be a little frustrating since it's pretty slow-paced. It's a good work life balance and great area for those who have families.
