It's not a 9 to 5 job unless you are posted at Headquarters. You will miss important events of your life. Railways don't stop in rain, weekends, festivals so they expect same from you. They pay nice and you would be able to manage your family expenses on the salary if you are in Delhi. However, the salary is not in line with what you loose in return. It really takes a toll on your health. Private sector industry will respect you if you have got work experience of Delhi Metro. Expect a higher salary of you move to some other organization after working some time here.

High Work Pressure

Work pressure is high and work culture is not up to mark. Management is no employee friendly. No benefits below executive level. all benefits are for executives only and all responsibility is of non executive employees

Working as Traffic Controller is not an easy task. It requires lot of hard work, As well as cool and calm approach. Responsibility are always at their peak torque judge your capabilities.
