Very collaborative working environment overall. You need to be ready to work in Kent/Surrey with related commuting time if you live in London (between 2-3 hours return door to door depending on where you live) as most of the UK teams are based there. Few teams in London. Fidelity as an Organisation want to achieve great innovative services and products to their clients but lack sometimes clear strategic direction, management decision and support, people and funding commitments. All this would need more consistency and commitment to be really efficient.

I have worked at Fil both as a permanent member of staff and as an interim. No two days are the same. However they proactively support their people and encourage them to own their careers. Can't fault Fidelity in any way.
Pros
Great facilities. Wherever you work you will always feel you are a part of Fidelity.
Cons
Some people don't embrace Fidelity's culture, but if you do you'll be recognised and supported

Well respected asset manager with a lot of talented people. Forward thinking and making efforts to improve collaboration. Usual issues expected as per any role in IM. Place to get on if you work hard and your face fits.

Old fashioned company - not much progress or new thinking. There is a view that challenge never occurs as no one wants to rock the boat so new ideas are never brought forward

Worked as a contractor there and enjoyed my time - lots of variety to the work in terms of products and marketing channels. A good place for collaborative working and to learn about investment products and marketing.
Pros
Good work / life balance
Cons
Only worked as a contractor so no long term security

Fidelity is a great company to work for where you are rewarded for your efforts. They need to work on communication between teams and people would be surprised about how antiquated their systems are and the sheer number of technology people to try and keep the systems up and running.

I shadowed various fund managers, analysts and traders throughout the course of my time there. I assisted with research into a number of companies and spent time learning about the London Stock Exchange and how equities are traded.

Having a long term view helps in building a career, especially Fidelity International. Being able to cope with change, both internal and external coupled with a committed work ethic is valued.

Fidelity is trying to become more Agile, they have the right idea, they are setting some of the right things in motion but they are horribly constrained by all of the things that hold back large corporates. It's a good place to work and most of the people there are really good at what they do, there is a defensive attitude to the many layers of middle management and the offshore development teams, whilst good technically are misguided and mis-managed locally, breaking through the culture and even further layers of management there is something that you MUST do

This company provide lots of data daily. I helped them to produce different dashboard based on this data and from it lots of tracking device was also created to help track customers behaviour.

My typical day was answering telephone and emails for all finacial aspects of the company, I have learnt to do the best customer service I can. It was a fun happy culture. The hardest part was learning the new financial service industry

however Fidelity is planning to migrate 100's roles of Dublin. I enjoyed working there, good work/life balance, very good senior management structure and opportunities.
