Honest

Same as most places, food and bad points, productivity target is 90% set targets for everything else, easily meet if you actually work, hours are good

Not worth it

Have had mental health issues since working here been with them nearly 2 and a half years and would not work here againHad several different managers and was mainly left alone without support went down hill after 1st year

its hard work but sometimes worth it

10 hour days consisting of calls of all types with 60 sec or less to fill in notes and onto the next callis time off calls for things like learning and devlopment teams are generally friendly and upbeat and willing to help each other hardest part id disgruntled customers most enjoyable bit is the people that you work with

Pros

free sky tv services

Cons

allot expected for min wage

Good employer

A good place to work. On floor supervisors very supportive and friendly. I'd say the training dispensed and team you are in determines progress. Previous experience in a similar role and absorbing training provided probably goes for you as showing initiative and working independently is very important. In addition, having basic keyboard skills and being flexible around the hours you work

Pros

Beneficial perks

Cons

Long hours, need to be flexible around shifts

Horrid place to work

They don't care that when you're off for illness etc even if it's a genuine reason, there's is no flexibility for your shifts, and they regularly ban you from moving shifts around if the decide too many people are moving shifts around.

Pros

Non

Cons

Management, pay, the job role, it's all bad.

Given it's call centre work, they really do try

Call centre work is harsh, always about stats, targets and numbers. That said, Firstsource do try to engage agents and treat them like real people. Training covers the basics, but it takes about 12 weeks on live calls to become familiar with most call types and get "seated" into the role. It's worth hanging in during that period. Support varies, depending on the Team Leader, but most do their best within the project constraints. Salary is what you'd expect, bonuses are easy to achieve. Shifts are quite flexible, overtime is often available if required. Call centre work is not for everyone, neither is remote working. If you like working from home, are self disciplined, turn up to work every day and listen to understand current focus areas, the job will suit.

Pros

Engagement, flexi, it is as presented

Cons

Usual call centre work disadvantages. Outsource companies can gain and lose contracts, so expect role changes.

Very good company

First source was a good experience to work with. Training and academy was brilliant and there were support. If only the outbound campaign was not change my position to inbound calls because of cost of living crisis but training for that one was short time. So looked for another job and join with sigma connect for Eon next .

Pros

Work from home.

Cons

Come on site once a month but risk of covid 19.

Shocking pay and training

First 4 weeks of training abysmal. We watched video after video then you'd be expected to know what you're doing .After 4 weeks you get put into an academy we didn't meet our team leader for a further week ! Trainers aren't really trainers they are paid the same minimal rubbish we are and they don't like helping they prefer to point you to an In house help system .Management are far too serious they don't like jokes or any kind of a laugh which is strange considering its from home so you have to speak to your team via teams so you'd think they'd be more lienent with jokes etc.You work 44 hours a week you get paid for 37.5 they don't pay breaks it actually works out a terrible pay .10.14 an hour but after tax it is 317 a week barely liveable. As a group we complained about the training many times we even had a meeting with the head of training but that was just lip service they know trainings bad and they don't care. Avoid at all costs

Pros

From home

Cons

Long hours, poor pay

Shocking place to work if you have a illness or disability and need time off work they simply don’t care even tho you don’t get paid for sick days

Shocking place to work if you have a illness or disability and need time off work they simply don’t care even tho you don’t get paid for sick days Upper management think that they are to big for the place and often speak down to their staff. When you call in if you are going to be off sick they ask you 101 questions and are very aggressive on the phone to you.You get no social life as the hours you have to work are dreadful for the pay and the way you are treated as just a number they simply do not care!

Pros

Free sky

Cons

Terrible management No social life Mental health worries

Lure you in but so many rules

Awful company to work for. You have to earn your annual leave meaning time off in the summer means you have no leave to take until then. All about making money and nothing to do with loyalty to customers

Couldn't pay me to go back.

Worked the industry 10+ years and have never known anything like it; non-existent training and uncontactable managers are the norm.Managers telling people that they have "no hope" and "I'd be worried if I was you". Entire workforce is akin to playground bullying, and if I had the patience, I'd take it a lot further. HR/ops pass the buck, and noone seems to care. It's not a customer service job, so steer clear. It's sales.

Fast paced

First source is a call centre working with sky tv, mobile and broadband. Your constantly answering calls and dealing with customer issues from billing, tech advice, repairs, upgrades, and sales.I found that working at first source is one of those jobs were in the more effort you put into it the bigger the return, it can be stressful at times but as any job just need to remember tomorrow is a fresh day and with a positive attitude even some off the most difficult customers can be helped and sorted with a little professionalism and and a can do attitude. I enjoyed time at first source I think the pay could be a little better. As days can be long

Pros

Free sky tv, and discounts on other products

Cons

Pay could be better and can be stressful for most people

Hr

During my tenure I said something involving Black Lives Matter, a colleague took offence to it and reported me to HR, I was dismissed within 3 days without a proper investigation and then failed my appeal because they found witnesses to what I said who weren’t even working that day, Firstsource is a good company to work for but don’t get on the wrong side of HR, especially when they’re looking for ways to downsize their workforce.

Ok if you need the money

You are essentially selling Sky products and you get commission for this which isn't a lot. You are switched from campaign to campaign at the drop of a hat

Pros

Discounted Sky TV and Broadband

Cons

working weekends

Most shockingly run business I have ever been in and underpaid for the work you do. Do not work here your wasting your time.

Shocking place to work, don’t work here it’s a complete waster of time. Management is appalling. You’ll be there for a month or so and you’ll want to leave

Sold a dream

Terrible job and employer. Tell you there's these amazing opportunities in the company, reality is people have worked there 10 plus years and still on same wage as someone who has started.

Ok

They were not concerned about the Sky contract in the end and have now lost it. They were more concerned about reaching targets for new contracts and we're forcing people into roles they didn't want to do. It was do this or there is the door

Pros

4 day week

Cons

Poor management

Fun place to work

Firstsource has great staff. The TLs are always trying to help and they can have a laugh with you which makes the workplace a very nice place to be. Its not stressful and if you have a problem, they support you and guide you through the problem solving :)
