Fluor provides ample opportunities for a person to grow in professional life. Side by side it values an employee's family time. Anyone who has worked over there, they are part of Fluor family.
Fluor is a great company to work with lot of opportunities for growth. Some people can get unlucky if they are not in the right place at the right time. Also like any other corporate, Fluor has corporate politics around nepotism and favouritism
Work culture, work quality, salary structure, overtime are great in fluor.
Fluor is one of the most salary paying company in ong sector of India.
Alternat week 5 days working & weekly 45 hrs without in-out punch makes fluor very employee friendly.
Fluor management offers big work responsibility, work exopsure & great salary considering knowledge & hard work irrespective on experience in years. Therefore one will find great job satisfaction in Fluor.
But if one is not good in work then fluor is not for them. There will be always threat of loosing job for such people. Performance is must in Fluor.
Engineering Work is excellent. When it comes to policies, it's not totally ethical and transparent company. This may be due to local (Indian) management. Need improvement else could repeat Nokia story in EPC world.

Managers are not technically sound, mid career leadership team is administrators. Less rewards for Brain but lot for Gold Fish (Spoons).
The Company is well organized, a good Database and Project Execution Facilities, Good Mentor and work flow from Sr Level to Jr Level, using Advance technology

I loved to work with FLUOR. The company has a strong base in Core Engineering. FLUOR culture helps employees to balance work life and building carriers with excellent proficiency.

Typical Day at Work- Early morning start, Interaction with team members, performing activities as per WORK PLAN.
My Learnings- Quickly unlearn & learn while starting working in a new project, man management skills to create a positive atmosphere where every team member feels responsible, accountable towards the team goal.
Workplace Culture- Fluor is well known for work practices, ethics, quality standards, knowledge sharing & many other good practices. I find most of them true & consider Fluor to be a good place to work.
Hardest part- Off late have to work for long hours at office which is depriving me of sufficient time for my family.
Most Enjoyable part- Interaction with a very capable, knowledgeable workforce.

The parent company culture is typical American and is worth mentioning. It is an equal opportunity employer and very free environment.
The Indian management is yet to fully align in terms of culture to the parent company.

I worked with Fluor New Delhi office for 2 years. This organisation is not merely a company but a culture to live with. I learn lot of technical and managerial skill in this organisation.

Joined Fluor India on 16th July 2001 as Graduate Engineer Trainee .Undergone 6 month training including stress and layout concept, Software training (Auto PIPE, CAESAR-II, SPR and MATMAN). Successfully completed the tutorials (Stress) and virtual project (PDS). Made an Excel sheet for the Nozzle Movement Calculation for Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. Handling responsibility for piping stress analysis for the past 5 year. I was assigned to overseas assignment to Fluor Manila office (Philippines) from Sept’2005-July’2006 in between.
The company has a very friendly environment and an extremely good work culture.
