Stressful, politics, overburdened

This is a nightmare. Teachers are mostly fresh college graduates who are inexperienced. Promotions are given to those who act as workoholics. No life work balance. Sycophants have a fair chance of getting raise. Rude staff. Insensitive. A lot of insecure TLs who don't let the teachers shine in the fear of losing their chairs. Management is deaf and dumb. No respect given to the teachers. Discipline issues amongst the students. Teachers lack basic English Knowledge. Hence, even parents after paying in lacs, they get sub-standard teachers. Good teachers are not given sufficient salaries. A lot of politics. Stressful environment.

Amazing workplace

A typical day- Whole day goes busy interacting with teachers, management and students. Learned- IT Skills, Process of Examination internal as well as IGCSE & IB final exams and registrations, uploading of IA works, etc. Management- is somewhat at par but to go with the smooth process all the employees need to be at the same pace. Culture- Secured and Friendly. Hardest- Not such Enjoyable- Being an examiner officer and completing all the process.

It is an IB PYP school, situated in a city called Surat located in one of the smartly developing state called Gujarat in India. The school leads the staff with excellent leadership, work culture and professionalism. Provides great opportunities to learn and implement IB PYP pedagogy. It is one of the good employer paying good salaries to the teachers compared to other private and public schools.The most enjoyable part is learning and implementing new strategies, amazing collaboration among the PYP teachers, outstanding in school training workshops and other opportunities of professional and personal development. The hardest part of the extra time you have to give to the school for the activities like nigh out at the school or going on a nature camp with the students. Though the school has enough working hours to complete the job routines, stay backs seem to be an additional burden on the teachers.
