Your day starts whenever your market does, and since the exchange of your market is situated in some distant land, the timing is usually pretty odd. If you can handle stress and don't care much about the job security, this job is for you. However, your social life may take a hit, and since the management strongly discourages you from taking holidays, you may not be able to describe yourself as a travel buff anymore.
Lots of money (but one guy in a hundred does it)
Work-life balance is ruined, No job security
Working at Futures First is a risky profession owing to the highly competitive nature of the job. Moreover, there is no work life balance but there is ample compensation for good trades.
Poor work life balance and high stress.
Highly rewarding if you are successful
reached the maximum growth possible for a trader
A typical day at work starts with analyzing various data releases that happened overnight and and have a look at various data releases to take place that day. Read key market fundamentals in various markets I trade and get ready for the day. Learnt a lot about market dynamics with real time trading experience across a wide range of markets. I traded in Cotton, Soybeans, Soybean Oil, Crude Oil, Aluminium, Zinc and FCOJ. Management is fairly encouraging. Interactions are frequent. Hardest part of the job is to maintain work life balance. We got to work between 1 PM and 12 AM Indian time. But, gradually, i have learnt to overcome problems at home because of work. Most enjoyable part of the work is to trade in a lot of markets on a day to day basis. You break your records, increase knowledge levels and learn a lot about new produces. It is a fun process.
