GE is a safe place to work in terms of job security as well as the type of products that you get to work on. The technologies used are modern and cloud-based for a software engineer.

GE has good employee culture and great work life balance. However the growth here is rather slow in terms of pay and compensation. Opportunity to learn is also quite limited, so recommended if person wants to settle, not so much for early career people

Promotions& Appraisals in the Organization happens on perception by the management. Merit & Feedback is not the sole criterion. Management is totally not aware of actual work. Outdated technology and huge layoffs of people just based on perception . No empathy and only lip service
