With slim head it is possible to clean right upto the last molar as also the front teeth from inside which is not possible with broad and large headed tooth brushes. Proper brushing with the correct tooth brush should remove plaque which form around gum margins and in between teeths. 90% of plaque consists of bacteria, produce acids which results in tooth decay and cavities. If plaque is not removed then it becomes tartar which irritates gums which start bleeding. If not treated this may result in tooth loss.
