In a typical day, I can expect to put in 9 hours, most of it doing nothing but waiting, for customers who I don't even know their names because the company didn't furnish the equipment to give me the info I needed. The vans I drove were old, worn out, and unsafe. Management was unresponsive the drivers needs, i.e. customer info, traffic info, working conditions. All of these issues made the job difficult and there were times when management gave customers a hard time and I explained to them that I was usually powerless to help them. The customers as a whole were very nice and usually understood what the employees were going through. It was difficult to be pleasant on the job when management trats you as poorly as Go Airport Express in Chicago.
