Work Life Balance is a big problem
Analyst (Current Employee) - Mumbai, Maharashtra - March 31, 2022
You wont get time to eat food or go to washroom. The initial learning curve is too steep. No body will teach you but you need to know everything. No transition period or trainings. People are too rude and no body is actually ready to help. Although the salary is best in the market but you wont be get time to spend what you earn. Leave policy is just for name sake. No complementary off for working on weekends.

Responsible for working with the Vendor Management team of Management and Strategy, Securities Division. Ensuring all the vendors of the division meet the regulations and risk management helped me develop my time management and communication skills. Developed excel skills and data analysis ability by managing vendor expenses and regular
payments.

Challenging but stagnant

A good challenging work place to be in. Can get stagnant and monotonous at times. More emphasis on networking for career advancement. Management can get a little too clingy and possessive at times.
Pros
Massive Bonus for good performers

Great learning experience and better international exposure
It was my first job and I learnt a lot here. One can attain good international exposure. There are monthly and quarterly meetings on the work updates with senior management. However, the working hours are crazy in most of the departments and there is no work life balance.
Pros
meal coupons, cab service at minimal rate
Cons
no work life balance

Productive, enriching and a motivating place to work.
Analyst (Former Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - July 27, 2017
Goldman Sachs is a good work place. A typical day at Goldman Sachs would start early and finish late. But they made sure they compensate you well for that so that you don't complain and it is motivating as well. The learning graph is tremendous there amidst all the highly qualified professionals.
