Collaborative work place

Worked as part of the team responsible for reporting to various regulators across globe for Investment Management division of the firm. Worked closely with various teams involved in valuation, transaction clearing, financial reporting, trading desks, IT to effectively manage the reputation risk of the firm to ensure true and correct information is filed with regulators to be best extent possible. Dealt with regulatory (Fed Reserve, SEC & other market regulators) filing for mutual funds and hedge funds operated by Goldman which involves US GAAP compliance, interaction with regulator and advising best course of action for the issue under consideration.

The best place to work

Goldman Sachs is the best place to work if you get through your interview. Typical day at GS involves group meetings and on shore business meetings. The main thing i learned at GS was finishing work on time, exposure to best of people, communication skills. The work culture is very employee friendly and you make great friends at GS

Best Place to start your career!!

I worked with GS for about 3 years and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The culture of the firm is amazing. Management is super helpful. you will have so much to learn and you learn a lot !

Amazing Office, Good Culture

Goldman Sachs is a great place to work. However like any organisation it has its Pros and Cons. The company has an amazing office and hires the best of people for the job, with rigorous interview processes in place. You will be surrounded by the best of people. However, being a 150 year old company, most of the processes are already tried and test hence there is minimum room for experimentation. At times you may feel stuck doing the same task repetitively.

Aggressive production & little fun at work place

You will tend to work for 10 hours which is daily working hours.However, if you utilize your time well then you may not have to extend.The nature of work is very aggressive because you will have to be on your toes through 10 hours. If you want to grow in this company it is very important to have networking., otherwise it is very tough to grow in such an organisation.
