Known for its traditional hospitality, this 20th-century mansion was first graced by Mahatma Gandhi, who stayed here after his arrival from South Africa in 1917. This palatial building was restored with an aim to adaptively reuse the spaces to cater to a modern lifestyle without losing either the historical perspective or the traditional customs of a Gujarati home!

Home Away from Home

Replete with courtyards and verandahs overflowing with greenery, The House of MG is comfortably conditioned in all enclosed spaces with free Wi-Fi. Walking through the corridors, you may come across pleasant surprises around every corner (including a couple of domesticated cats that can be found lounging around). Challenging, Good staff support and Friendly nature.

The hardest part of my job was to handle everything in the hotel which start from both restaurants daily operation and complaint, Banquet handling and dealing, Room guest, Swimming pool guest, Tours, Special programme on the festival. Sometimes everything comes together. But thanks to my manager who was very helpful. He is one of the best guy I have ever met in my life.

Not so bad but not as good as it shoud.

No Problem with seniors but other department are not so helpful. Management is very poor. Food provided for employee is poor quality. Internal HR and Security system is very poor.

A Lot to Learn and a great Team

It is a good place to be for the Heritage Enthusiasts and Tech Savvy. The Owner / MD is very knowledgeable and a great inspiration. Good staff and Team. Terrible rules to be followed while working. Old staff is very rude at times. Learned numerous ways to tackle difficult situations. Experimented implementation of different tools and ways to analyse/utilize online campaign data.
