Jobs at IBM
System Engineer positionsGreat team and supportive environment
Systems Engineer (Former Employee) - Bangalore City, Karnataka - August 28, 2023
I would 100% recommend working for IBM. The work life balance is good and you are given a lot of opportunity to learn and grow. Growth in salary however is a little slow

Great
Systems Engineer (Current Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - February 20, 2023
Great work life balance and leave policy. Forget pay rise. Great projects with different tech stacks. Every year manager gets changed so you can't ask about pay rise

Productive workplace
Associate System Engineer (Former Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - November 4, 2022
Workload depends on project. Job security is less. Culture is same as that of any other software company. Company policies are good. Salary increment depends on performance.

Not good for Fresh Graduates Looking for Developer Roles
Associate System Engineer (Former Employee) - Kolkata, West Bengal - August 1, 2022
IBM GBS and GTS are not recommended for Freshers looking for Developer roles as these business units mostly have administrative and operational work, which doesn't require much technical work, leave aside coding skills. Leave policy and WFH relaxations are great and one of the best in the industry

Less pay, too much work..
Associate Systems Engineer (Current Employee) - Pune, Maharashtra - April 16, 2022
They hire less people to save money and thus workload is too much. Weekend working is expected and no work life balance is there. Managers micromanage too much.
Pros
Unlimited sick leave, although you can't take them often if your manager is not good.
Cons
Long hours, less pay, too much micromanagement.

Nonsense!
Associate System Engineer (Former Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - March 18, 2022
Sweatshop in India. They treat you like cheap labour and managers are trash. No proper KT is done when you join, but they are quick to put responsibilities on your shoulder - just do they can blame you for issues. Very negative environment.
Pros
Good company to retire at.
Cons
No learning, old tech, politics, cheap managers, everyone wants to get ahead by pushing others down.

Relaxed work environment in general. Varies from team to team.
Associate System Engineer (Former Employee) - Chennai, Tamil Nadu - October 25, 2021
Everything varies from team to team. Generally a relaxed and flexible work environment. Amount of learning is highly dependent on projects. Generally it's on the low end. You will get plenty of time to do process improvement and will be appreciated. Most teams will have very high visibility from client.
Pros
Work life balance. Liberal work from hone policy. Programs for wellness.
Cons
Poor compensation, slow paced, legacy technologies

Indeed says my language here is inappropriate. You think what you can think about this company!
Associate System Engineer (Former Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - September 29, 2020
Pathetic place to be, you're treated like slaves and cattle, too much micromanagement, no help provided to freshers, seniors don't work - they just butter their seniors, too many "directors" in a team, long useless meetings, sub-standard salaries.
Pros
Job security maybe
Cons
Negative environment, no respect for employees, politics and buttering at its peak.
