Enriching but difficult

Working with armed Forces comes with its own set of challenges. But in the end it is a rewarding experience. Its is not a regular job and responsibilities are quite a lot. Overall quantum of work is still less compared to Civil. But the difficult locations and strict hierarchical system makes it challenging.

Tough and Disciplined

Morning starts at 6:00 with PT. Then at 8:30 you are at the office which gets over at 1:30. Evening 4:00 you come for games and in the evening till 7:30 you are in office.

Indian Army ethos, culture requires unquestioned obedience until ine is serving in a fighting Unit / arm life is involved which is till 20 yrs of service, as the Nation is involved. Very healthy, disciplined life as the troops are involved. After 20 yrs of service, mostly life in the Indian Army is Staff / Instructional oriented. It is best to take premature retirement when one is about 40 yrs of age and shift to the Civil / Corportate life, as Children and Family require constant care and upbringing.

Service to the Nation, Class I Gazetted Officer, Status, Indian Public loves and respects the Indian Army .

Cons

Sacrifice of Life / Limb is involved which can happen any day, regular transfer around the country every two years

A day starts from physical training. And then break of 1 hrs and we should go for class such as weapon class or any motivation class and then break after 12 pm and we got lunch at our lunger and after 2-3 hour rest we go to extra activity such as working, or any sports. After that there will be a night parade or soilder who have duty they will go to their post duty. After finishing night parade we got dinner and take rest for next day.My hardest day at Indian army was when ever I come from vacation I feel low and after some days every thing will be fine .Most enjoy ful day was when there will be any compitition such as games cultural activity and combat training program such as IBSTA, indaurance,firing etc
