No Job Satisfaction, no job guarantee, contract employment throughout your tenure
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - September 27, 2021
- most of the employees are hired on contract basis. No job satisfaction or guarantee, even if you perform good. If your Reviewing Manager likes you, You stay, Else you go, no matter what. - first year into contract employment you will get only 8 leaves (you have to manage) - Invigilation duty is forced onto the staff, who would already be overburdened. - You may have to work all the time, holidays are not holidays anymore here. - There is no system of an elaborate whistle blower policy. Raising complaints are just perceived as non willingness to work and your contract extension is not considered. - Every work in the accounts department is seriously slow. Always have a buffer of a month to get things done by their assistance. - Please be very cautious of the salary structure. Your NPS eats up a huge amount of your take home and you are left with Peanuts. Worst part you get that amount only after 60 yrs. - Your Appraisal adds up a very tiny(literally) drop in your tiny glass of salary. - there are literally no employee engagement programs

My best job till date. There is so much you can accomplish there, the only limiting factor is the salary as it is funded by the government. There is work life balance, beautiful campus, professional and humane colleagues, friendly leadership.

Decent place to work depending on the position
Trainee Teaching Associate (Former Employee) - Kolkata, West Bengal - May 13, 2020
It's a government institution so it is slow paced and full of politics. However once you blend in it's fine for people who are looking for a relaxed job.

Productive
Research Associate (Current Employee) - Ranchi, Jharkhand - January 26, 2020
Research might be a hard field to get into but it has its rewards. At the outset it needs preparation in basic aptitude and communications. Equal emphasis must be given to both knowledge and communication.

Motivating and Productive Workplace
Research Interm (Former Employee) - Kolkata - March 20, 2019
Social Entrepreneurship movement aimed at spreading literacy across rural areas.Learnt managing and communicating objectives, hard to explain objectives of the movement at times. Highly skilled and cooperative team members and guide who helped in defining a clear path and work stream. Analysis of impact and benefits of the program was the most enjoyable part of the program. Stressful work at times when deadlines for completion of reports approached. Very respectful work culture, flexible working hours and smooth implementation through coordination among members.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Long distance travels
