Learn life and people skills with your work
It provides a cordial workspace, but only after you get along with people. The initial days could be tough. Also, the learning that happens with other scholars around is another level of achievement. The learning pertains not only pertaining to your thesis but also people skills, life skills etc.Professors are also very cooperative. You get to understand the culture of an educational institute.

IIT Kanpur is very good place to work, but the location is not great. You may get most of the stuffs inside the campus. But outside campus is not great.
