ISRO has very good R&D facilities. Very good place to learn and do research .Good infrastructure and handsome salary are given to everyone. Work and life balance is good.
Pros
Many benefits
Cons
slow management
The best place to work for technical and engineering. Run as the government department with many rules and regulation. Very good project execution. Less orientation towards HR policy for the employee
Pros
Project management
Cons
Low employee friendliness
The on-field and off-field experience at (Indian Space Research Organisation) ISRO, helped me contribute to the design and modeling of fluid components (fuel tanks, gas bottles, control devices), ensuring their practical feasibility. Also, I was responsible for simulation of launch vehicle structure components for its expected flight load, which included model optimization based on the experimental results & mission outcomes. The most interesting parts of being with the organisation are the launch missions and associated activities. Its 3 days of continuous work, where project comes together to remotely ensure the quality of the rocket.
Pros
technical experience
planning, scoping, estimation, tracking & implementation of project plans within preset budgets and deadlines and coordinating projects for the set-up facilities.
Worked as a Functional consultant, who involved requirement gathering, requirement elicitation, preparation of Solution/Functional design document and client walk through. Post solution sign-off, I was involved in implementation phase of the solution as a functional consultant, coordinating among technical team and business to ensure that final implemented solution was as per client's requirement.

Working at ISRO means, you have the freedom to do your own thing. You should have basic knowledge of your field and rest will be taken care of. Ample of learning opportunities are here. I have learned the real implementation of software in the GIS and Remote Sensing industry.
I am working in Indian Space Research Organisation for past 8 years in the field of RF and Microwave. I have designed various circuits in MIC and MMIC configuration viz Amplifier, Phase Locked Oscillator, Voltage Controlled Oscillator, Mixers, Frequency Multipliers, BPF, LPF, Couplers and Hybrids, Waveguide to microstrip/CPW transitions etc over a very broad frequency ranging from 250 MHz to 90 GHz. I have also developed various space borne sub-systems viz Rx front-end and Frequency generator for C Band Radar Altimeter, UHF Band Tracking Receiver, C-Band Frequency Generator, TR Module for L and C Band SAR, Frequency Generator and Receiver for Ground Penetrating Radar and W-band Front-end Receiver for sounders.
