an area executive will be handling a particular area like district sales and distribution of a particular products. we will handle the salesmen and distributors in that area. branding and promotion of the products in that area and also the finance of distributor. based on previous sales the sales targets will be given to us and based on the parameters and methods of retail and order that ITC follow we should ensure to achieve those targets. ITC work environments will be more funny and targets based, basically its more targets based. we have annual awards for national level sales and for regional level sales

Retail sector is the most challenging sector in today's business environment. It was fun to be part of it under ITC Ltd. Most of the skills can be well learnt when you indulge yourself in retail sales. Leadership skills, managerial skills, Customer relationship management skills etc are part of it. Overall retail sector has lots to offer over period of time. Learning here is a never ending process.

Work culture is very good here as all the executive and management is very helpful. Workplace is neat and clean though the hardest part of the job is the volume of work. Free lunches is available and snack is provided on extended office hour too.

Well defined KRA of the job with strict and widely laid down org structure and governance policy. learned a lot under very experience and dignified people at various level of management. Biggest learning was Inter personal skills. Culture was bit semi government type. Hardest part was meeting the expectation of senior management in strict time lines. Enjoyed being part of many assignments given to me to handle independently.
