L&T TS is the engineering services branch of L&T group which is a engineering giant in India. They have offices in many cities across India (Mysore, Bangalore, Chennai, Baroda etc). Depending on the project requirement, decent foreign travel opportunities are available. Since it is engineering services, product level exposure and learning is limited and only project related task to task work will be done.

L&T doesn’t require any kind of description because of its big brand name. India’s highly reputed company and I feel luck to work with so nice people . Worked under engineers they are so technically sound that they can explain anything related to their job even to non technical people .

I really enjoyed my time in L&T which was 40 months to be precise. You have to be really enthusiastic, hardworking and aggressive if you really want to learn in a big company like L&T. There is definitely some concerns I faced with Work-Life balance, but I think one has to be pro-active and plan accordingly, not to take extra unnecessary burden so as to complete the work in time. There is always a myth of leaving office after your boss which I believe shouldn't be there and one should leave immediately once done with their work.

Worklife balance is a must

I have 9 working hours. Everyday I reach office by 8.45 am. The day start with a morning meeting where we discuss the tasks which need to be done on that day. In the same meeting if any deviations regarding the project , any new inputs or any basic information needed are discussed. then I start with the to-do-list for the day and start working for the day. I leave the office at 6 pm. I have learnt the various approach towards designing, how to validate the design basing on the guidelines and basing on the design requirements. I have learnt tools for design various standards and how to use them. I am a married woman, so I can manage both household and the office smoothly. I have inculcated the qualities of time and stress management. Hardest part of the Job is if the timeline for project is less, we have to complete by doing overtime which becomes a problem in work life balance. The most entertaining part of the Job is everyday I try to learn something, which is great. And gives you a satisfaction of things what you do. I have moved to Oslo, Norway. So I am looking for a permanent job in Oslo.
