I worked in this company for a period of 12 months. I used to handle the inventories across all the DCs in Pan India. Its a very cool company for many employees. Most of the employees are set the retire here. For supply chain employees work is very stressful due to variance in demand / supply.

Very down graded company.

They call themselves an MNC but their over all business operation moeus operandi is much lower than any Indian locval company. There is no respite to employees and employees are at mercy of management and seniors when it comes to work life balance and job security. HR department is just a mute spectatator and puppet of senior management.

My typical day @ work.

My typical day at work includes: 1. Daily review of inventory across warehouse locations in India & replenish the stocks as per forcast plan. 2. Manage 3 PL & ensure that the warehouses are run as per SOP. 3. Plan & schedule the production of finished goods basis the sales forcast, cycle time & transit lead times. Include Marketing & sales imputs when it comes to New product launches, promotional activities. 4. Manage various elements of cost arising due warehouse & transportation operations. 5. Identify & execute cost optimization projects to ensure that the YOY costs are with in the target. 6. Review the complete network & make the changes necessary to optimize them. 7. Work with R & D and drive quality & food safety standard across the chain. 8. Partner with Finance & legal to ensure taxation & statutory compliance. 10. Handle Import & exports of finished goods including documentation. My Learnings are as follows: 1. Cross functional exposure. 2. Team work & Collaboration 3. Budgeting & Cost control 4. Negotiation & Contracting. 5. Planning Management has been very supportive. They have created condusive environment for all. Their role is very critical in how we feel at work. Their focus in diriving the organizational principles @ work is very evident and is the reason for them create a world class culture for us. My co-workers believe in team work.
