Activities Co-ordinator (Former Employee) - St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex - April 28, 2022
MHA paid for my training . Which enabled me to get a better job. Very busy and often short staffed. The manager I worked with has left now but was very supportive and raised our rating with CQC to good . Cares work very hard under difficult circumstances.
Pros
Residents, staff, management, training .
Cons
Staff shortage, aren't paid for unsociable hours .

Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Stones place - February 26, 2022
I spent 10 years working for MHA stones place, unfortunately Ill health meant I had to leave. The company are fantastic with added benefits and incentives, I have not meet the current manager but have heard good things about her and the assistant manager. the building is big and well maintained. It truly is a person centred environment. Training is extensive and on going. Would highly recommend working there
Pros
Added benefits and incentives
Cons
Long hours and hard work

To many chiefs, everyone thinks there the boss
Lead Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - Monroe, LA - September 8, 2020
The MHA asks you to do illegal work daily training in this decade needs to be done. I was laid off 3 hours after I said I wouldn’t cut into a floor containing asbestos
Pros
The entire upper management hardly knows what to do. To many old bosses with no up to date training

Great job for a college student
Specialized (Former Employee) - New York, NY - June 17, 2020
Most of the employees are individuals with little or no credentials/ experience. This job training is long and annoying. It’s a starter position for someone who may want to go into the mental health field that pays 42,000 with benefits.
Pros
Help others going through crisis
Cons
No real opportunity for career advancement

No raises, only partial benefits
Outreach Specialist (Current Employee) - Long Beach, CA - September 10, 2019
MHA is great because of the people you work with and the management. However, for a non profit with low pay scale and no raises AT ALL, you would expect full benefits and a matched 401k. If you need a flexible and rewarding job in a supportive environment but don’t care about money or benefits, then this is the place to work.
