Good place to work. Work culture in NTPC is very good, Paperless office work is very much giving good results.It also indicates the employees short comings & they need proper counselling for their works.It gives the total work load for the day & it emphasis to complete the jobs within scedule.

Pros

Lot many facility & fringe benefits are available.

Cons

Long hour working did not give any bad results.

There are ample opportunities to work and learn in NTPC. I have worked in the design of switchyard upto 765kV. Also at site during execution of 660MW thermal units.

Typically for large scale concreting work, lot of advance planning of engaging manpower, machineries, material etc was required to be done for doing non stop concreting. I learnt that, advance planning is very important to achieve a goal or objective, rather than doing a job hurriedly without planning. All important aspects and probable pitfalls should be taken care of in advance. Achievement gives immense job satisfaction. It is important to be efficient; but it is more important to be effective.
