ONGC is a good company for beginners and they get lot of opportunity to grow up to certain level. Initially, I got opportunities to learn reservoir field operations and PBU analysis using Pansys/Panmesh software. Later on I was engaged with development well drilling and WOJ monitoring activities. Subsequently, I got opportunity to learn reservoir simulation software and other classical reservoir engineering tools.

Best Company to work with

It was a great and exciting experience where you can learn how the crude oil is being produced and delivered. The exploration part helps in covering a long range of area and finding the nearby location to extract crude oil. Its a very challenging job in any of the department of this company.

It is one of the highest profitable company in oil production fields. But,the working environment is not affirmative. A typical day at work may take 10 to 12 hours in daylight.

ONGC is the largest Public Sector Oil Company in India. It is in the business of oil exploration and production not only within India but also overseas through joint ventures. With its more than 40000 employees, its a huge responsibility and commitment to work for this company. My job was 24x7, literally, heading three portfolios HR, CC and CSR. I love my company since it actually looks after me even when I am no longer an employee. I worked in this Company for almost 26 years!
