before going to refinery a crude sample should be analysed for its physical and chemical properties like flash point, true boiling boiling point, pour point, density , salt content , water content etc... good learning over there

Innovative and Interesting Workplace

The level of knowledge that I have been exposed in a short period had been tremendous. The infrastructure is extraordinary the staff are highly skillful and didn't hesitate to share their knowledge. Overall a good working environment for learning new things in the field of fuels.

ONGC is definitely a dream place to work with.Though not a full time job.. i got an opportunity to work as an intern for 45days. The work culture is very flexible. It was fun learning and working with my project there. The guide was very helpful, and supportive and the overall experience turned out to be productive.

Adventurous And Informative.

As i had went to ONGC at two different places in Andhrapradesh and Tamilnadu States for my Student training and project in drilling. Had a great a time over there with ongc employees and professionals. I gathered many fundamental concepts with them and they had given me a excellent teaching and ideas in enriching my knowledge. It is a place where i felt 'Unity In Diversity' among people working there. There will be no partiality, Racism etc among people over there, which makes me feel happy and which makes me to feel free in learning things with professionals without any secondary thoughts. I learned about principles of drilling operations, drilling equipments with there capacities and directional drilling. out of this, i enjoyed very much and felt adventurous when i am drilling site for more 2 weeks in learning live operations.

i had excellent standard of teaching, very hygienic food during trainning

i had very long hours in well site, maxium of ten hours per day for two weeks which makes to feel as a professional engineer

 Supervise quality control and witness well logging operations and personnel to ensure high data quality is recorded in accordance to the drilling program. Pick casing and coring points in consultation with drilling engineer to ensure integrity of casing shoe and full recovery of cores over reservoir objectives. Maintain detailed stratigraphic correlation with adjacent offset wells to monitor the progress of drilling and pic casing and coring points. Sample collection and preservation, lithological description of cuttings and well site core description. Quick look wire line log interpretation and suggest objects of interest. Prepare and transmit reports mainly well completion reports, composite log and master log, in order to provide a permanent record. Monitoring and handling of mud logging unit operations. Perform any operations and geology function as and when requested by the company.
