Fun job with opportunities

Working in the distribution centre it is a place with plenty of opportunities if that is what you are looking for. While it is fast paced at times you do need to put in the work and the job hours tend to be long hours which not most people like. Having a 4 day working week is great as that helps with being able to have a work/life balance but it can take some adjusting for those who have never done it. Would recommend if you're looking for a more physical job.

Pros

4 day working week, benefits e.g tesco colleague card

Cons

Long hours, physical depending on your job role

Work life balance

If you turn up and do your job they expect more out of you, if your face fits its easy days. Own unit after a certain time but anyone else using it doesnt respect or clean after themselves.

Pros

Paid breaks, 4 days a week contract, job and knock

Cons

Long hours, useless planners, expect more

Friendly staff

Not really a company you can progress that well in was my experience management not very professional or confidential with personal things, lovely staff in shop floor like a Familly

Pros

Unhealthy job

All cage work unrealistic times between drops, over weight cages, shops are in unrealistic places with broken up paths and cables you are expected to push cages over, every penny you have to fight for

Pros

Free coffee

Cons

Overall rubbish job

Productive

A typical work day at one stop since its a Gas station well you would greet your customers and once they have what they need you would check them out then tell them to have a very nice day and you will see them soon. You have to unpack the truck and put the merchandise up and away

OneStop is a poorly run business

My boss was very knowledgeable in the automotive industry but he was not very friendly and didn’t know how to run a business well. The office was very outdated and slow and he didn’t treat me as a valued employee.

Pros

I learned a lot from my boss

Cons

I was not treated fairly

good company to work for

the company is good and fair when it comes to pay. Management is poor at particular stores. Nice area with friendly people. Progression is possible just depends on how good your manager is at their job.

Dont go for a job its a bad company to work for

A bad company to work with and easy to get promoted and face shoplifting with chance of getting hurt. Do not advice you to go for a job bad management no skills.

Its a good start

Like if your young its a good start and easy way to wake money but when you get older because the pay isn't exactly the best it starts to become harder to do things and pay for things etc. But it was good for the two years i did it.

Worth The Experience

Working at one stop has helped develop as a person as it has made me talkative and engaging with people. It also helped me develop problem solving skills, as occasionally we have to deal with customer complaints or queries.

Never a dull moment.

Worked for the company as a customer service assistant before progressing on to shift manager within 6 months. Working hard is rewarded, made many good friends that I still have after leaving. Company is run the right way. A shift manager is Jack of all trades, literally does everything.

Pros

Too many to list.

Cons

Wage could be better for what a shift manager does.
