In my 6 years at Oracle, i have a great learning curve. The company takes great initiative in employee trainings The work is very fast paced with less turn around times Very high expectations from higher management People are expected to take ownership and deliver more than their capacity at times
Provides good work life balance and WFH facility. Work with new technologies. Appraisal system is worst in this company. Don't expect any appraisals. Some of the products has now become obsolete in market but still a cash rich company but NOT for employees.

Do these reviews help you learn more about working at Oracle?
You work hard, you enjoy the work-life balance, but in the end, you find out there is no compensation or hike at all. Oracle is biased towards India's work-force as also found by an independent survey. But to work here expecting a career growth and personal growth is suicide. Most people join Oracle attracted by the brand name. If you really want to join Oracle, come here, work for less than a year, get the brand name tagged to your profile, and get out! Management at Oracle is always aware that they won't be able to provide you any hike/appraisal, but they act like it's on the way! They try to fool you as long as you stay. Management strategy I found here goes like this:- hire them cheap, give them loads of uninteresting work, don't give them any hike/promotion/bonus, they leave after realizing they have been fooled, repeat!
Its wonderful to work at Oracle but the only hitch is that there are no yearly appraisals-Monetary. There are motivational team dinners, parties for the employees.

Worked for more than 7 years. It was nice and enjoyed working init. The good thing about the company is work-life balance, team members, company culture, Medical insurance. I would suggest new joiners to bargain properly at the time of joining. U can even get 150% hike on ur current salary because once u have joined, there will be less or no increment for 2 or 3 years.
Work culture is very professional with lots of technical and career oriented learning in Exadata (oracle engineered systems) and oracle database. Company has a very inclusive environment
Work Life balance is good but salary is less than what market offers. Management is not interested in your personal growth . This review is especially for HSGBU unit of oracle
