nursing is a dynamic and a noble profession. it is always a privilege to work in such a multi cultured environment and health care professionals .
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Chandigarh, Chandigarh - September 21, 2017
Since nursing is a very challenging profession,i loved my job.
Had to work round the clock in care and management of the sick babies as well as had to be vigilant all the time while working with the critically sick babies on ventilators.
It was an excellent opportunity for me working in this institute as i acquired strong communication skills, maintained good interpersonal relationships with the parents and the family members of the babies.
Moreover, i learned unit management and leadership skills.
learned motivation as well as how to be patient during emergency situations
Also acquired cooperation and assistance skills with the team members and the nursing staff.
Pros
relaxation hours inbetween the shifts were provided
Cons
too long night shifts

A great learning experience
Project Manager, PGIMER (Former Employee) - Chandigarh, CH - June 24, 2013
1. The most enjoyable part of the job was the 3 day training session mandatory for understanding of the project which i attended at NIHFW, New Dehli. There i got a good exposure to medical field and got to know how the engineering aspect is linked to the project and where does my role fit in the job.
2. A regular 9 to 5 work routine really helped to maintain discipline and
3. As a hierarchy i was heading a group of lab supervisors and technicians who showed full cooperation. The Working environment was made as such that we all worked as a single unit with full Co-operation.
4. In the Management aspect my role was to implement the policies of the PGI with help of our Principle Investigator and existing administrative stafff for achieving a certain amount of breakthrough in the project. This required day to day communication with them to understand working rules of the PGI. I was able to carry out maintenance of inventory of the received instruments and setting up of lab for executing the project role assigned to PGIMER.
5. The main hurdle to the job was quick implementation of the small targets which was disturbed by the long processes in implementing them. This caused a certain delay which was resolved by rigorous hard work of myself and the group.
Pros
nice working environment with health facilities
Cons
Job with Fixed tenure

junior resident (Current Employee) - chandigarh - May 12, 2013
for postgraduate degree community medicine it is best among india. even better that AIIMS. one can get exposed to multiple health posts and a variety of patients. Family medicine ,epidemiology health management and health economics are also best. learning by doing is the best policy of this department. doing thesis is the hardest part. after exam next 2 months are the enjoyable period .
Pros
high quality teaching and training
Cons
too much duty
