Good Salary. Bad management. Raunchy environment. Friendly if you fit in.
Process Analyst and Tier II Applications Support (Former Employee) - Largo, MD - January 30, 2021
Good salary. Bad management. Honest and fair treatment depends on whether you are friends with the right people in authority. Kind of reality TV-ratchet / raunchy environment. Friendly, if you fit in. Targeted, if you do not fit in and become workplace and outside friends. New executive management led to mass firings of all the good managers, of those who did not quit, and soured the work atmosphere and morale.

I loved the money working here
Call Center Account Manager (Former Employee) - Falls Church, VA - January 12, 2021
This place has a lot of favoritism mainly to the owners family. If your not the person to play "Team Lead" pet then you need to start. As long as you answer your calls properly and put your tickets in correctly, you will be fine. The most enjoyable part of the job is benefits and bonuses.
Pros
Good money
Cons
Drama

Petty, immature department head
Tier 3 Lead Supervisor (Former Employee) - Largo, MD - December 6, 2019
This job does not assess by talent, jobs and promotions are done by favoritism or whomever is willing to overlook unfair treatment. Self explanatory, nothing else to write

Poor ownership and senior management
Program Manager I (Former Employee) - Largo, MD - January 13, 2017
Hires family that doesn't work. Too much politics. Bonuses based on who the owner like and not on effort or performance. Managers will not have your back on difficult contracts.
Pros
They always need people because people leave
Cons
top management does not care about employees. poor company culture

Heavily micro-managed, hostile environment.
Mechanical Technician (Current Employee) - Sandston, Va - October 6, 2016
Not allowed to think for ourselves and always second-guessed by management. Many issues in the past(payroll problems, unaddressed employee concerns), which when brought up through employee surveys, were met with punishment.

Would Not Recommend
Program Manager (Former Employee) - Largo, MD - August 21, 2016
25% of the employees are completely dedicated to the customer and work, but the company leadership is lacking. Appears to be dysfunction between owner, CFO and President. The smart employees do not make waves. Owner employs a lot of family and friends who are untouchable. I'd consider moral to be low.

Investment
Sr. System Manager & Technical Advisor (Former Employee) - Lanham, MD - June 8, 2016
Organization is unwilling to invest in themselves to develop and grow existing business. Recruits under a training allowance; but does not make good on promise.
Immature processes and management. Changes with the wind. Decisions are made in a vacuum with little to no due diligence or understanding of the alignment to the customer's needs.

Impressive facility...
Data Center Operations Technician (Former Employee) - Sandston, VA - February 17, 2016
QTS is an impressive facility. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I unfortunately wasn't apart of the DCO "click" so I got dumped on. Always promised training, only to be stuck in a corner. The job was barely technical. Occasionally Id run cables or terminate some CAT5. I kept asking for training in various areas, but the training they provided was laughable at best. I wasnt the best at what I did, but Im trained in IT not mechanical engineering. I spent most of my time building cages and installing fiber runner. I barely saw technical work. I worked overnights. I still learned a lot but it was through my own trial and errors, I did what I could to try and keep things organized. But, I was again, bogged down with the previous shifts work plus my own. They aren't bad people but there's a lack of team player mentality for for the over night crew. Your team isn't your dept but all the departments around you.
Pros
Impressive facility, mostly friendly customers
Cons
Poor QC, Poor Management system, Childish individuals, negative atmosphere

Unhappy
Sr. System Manager & Technical Advisor (Current Employee) - Largo, MD - January 31, 2016
The organization speaks of inclusion and opportunity; however, the company is very, very poorly managed and are unable to maintain long-term contracts.

Comfortable
Application Support Tier 1.5 (Current Employee) - Falls Church, VA - January 25, 2016
Great company to work for as a contractor. Fun environment that helps employees deal with the work load. Falls Church Virginia provides a lot of restaurants for you to enjoy on your lunch breaks.

A typical work day is triaging emails to the right folder while processing emails
Support Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Largo, MD - September 23, 2015
Great working environment with a non-supportive manangment team. Its about your daily productivity how many email you're processing on a daily basis. Working alongside my co-workers makes the job fun and the day go by faster. The office started to get crowded as the company grew and it was more difficult to get to know the new people. Different days of the week my task may change besides triaging emails.
Pros
Great co-works, pretty good environment
Cons
Management and the lack of advancement.

Do not take this Job
Web analyst/Help desk Tier II (Current Employee) - Largo, MD - May 31, 2015
The money is great and that how the job gets a lot of people to come in and be apart of this contract, However there is no job security at all. If the fed Gov't decide not to budget for the amount of people that this job requires, Qutech will ramp down (without warning) and no one is safe even supervisors, On my last day they called me out the blue told me that my services will no longer be required, and to leave immediately, I went to tell my supervisor of this and come to find out she was let go too, and 20 other people that same day. There is no warning it just happens. Do not take this job if you have a choice!!!
Pros
The people are great to work with
Cons
There are to many Cons to list
